So... I have been a player of Lusternia for a long time. I am sure some people here know me, maybe not from the best side. I generally dislike game forums, as they tend to be filled with whining and poorly-written posts. This looks like an exception to the rule, but it's not why I post.
Well, as you can easily check in-game by 'honouring' me, I am a Serenguard. To be more exact, a Faeling Serenguard. Since I have Moonburst and Surge, this race is not that horrible for bashing, but PvP is a real pain. I really like playing a Faeling though, and so I am not very keen to reincarnating. But I dislike being inferior in combat either, so I can't really decide. Hence, the poll. Your opinions are appreciated.

I voted for for the first options. After a few quick tests with you, your potential is reduced to nothing all because the combination you have selected is extremely poor.
You do the same amount of damage/wounds in a COMBO that the average person does in ONE STRIKE. There is no way you can make up for that without changing races.

She also hits much faster than that other person does.
I would just stay with it, becaue there are other things which will make you inferior in combat that you can't help - theres no possible perfection, so stay with the imperfect senario that you like to RP. Just my oppinion.

I guess you just need to decide what you like the most... being a warrior, or being Faeling.
If the former, definitely seems like you need to change races (or go to Glomdoring); if the latter, then try a different guild perhaps. You were already a Moonie, right?

If I wasn't actively working against Glomdoring.
Okay, I am really tired now. Vote while I am napping.
Yes, I was a Moondancer. But I found warrior combat more sophisticated, which equals to more fun for me.

In my case I play lusternia for the combat aspect since it’s the most fun to me now think about it in your situation, what is the main thing that draws you to the game? If you are really concerned about your combat abilities go ahead and reincarnate because you’re not going to be able to do anything as faeling. If you like the race but don’t care about the guild as much then go ahead and switch to a hartstone so you can effectively use the faeling abilities. Its all a matter on what is more important to you and from knowing you in game not to long I would say just change races since it seems you enjoy the guild.

Aerenna
Narsrim is correct in his assertion. Its up to you though what you want more - faeling race, or a race that is a little more inclined for serenguard combat ( *cough*... elfen lord , yay! )

Please don't give out combat advice when you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.
Hitting 0.2 seconds means NOTHING when you have it hit twice to equal one hit from someone else.
Everiine2006-03-08 02:36:07
Aerenna, you could still kick my butt in a fight any time .
I go more for the RP aspect of things. If I cared only about killing as many things as possible ( like someone I know.... ), I would have reincarnated into a better race and gone bashing 24/7... and been totally bored out of my mind. Story in these types of games is Everything, so that's what I voted.

I agree with Narsrim here, leave it to the pros.
*puffs chest out* As the resident master of warrior races, combinations and even city vs commune guild changes, I agree with Narsrim here.
Faelings hit 30% fater than normal balance, Aslaan's hit 20% of normal balance.
With the extra strength i get as ur'guard aslaran from ebonguard faeling means my wounding is better per strike, AND better over time.
You will accomplish nothing but sucking as a faeling warrior thats not ebonguard.
I'll say this again.
YOU HAVE TO BE EBONGUARD TO HAVE ANY CHANCE AT FAELING WARRIOR.
That is an absolute universal truth and anyone who goes ahead and says "Oh but i think i can make it work" after reading this, is a retard and no longer has any right to comment on any combat thread EVER, not has room to whine about any overpowered classes.
thank you

i've fought you before and I don't even really have to worry about the damage you do

As someone who would like to see reincarnation banished from the game I am firmly in the role-play over combat camp.
I guess you just need to decide whats true for you.

Aerenna has so much combat potential though. It is a shame for it is to be totally reduced to what it is.

A pity then, that there exist race / class combinations that would be considered untenable for combat.

Not really, its "roleplay." A tae'dae or orclach magic user is of course going to be very sup par to a high elfen or mugwump.

Seems i'm agreeing with Narsrim today a lot.
Aerenna isn't bad, i've fought Aerenna a few times and i was somewhat impressed, not as a faeling though.

I have to disagree on the Tae'dae part....it's fun being one. So many resistances and Level 3 sip. PvP -might- be a bit harder, but it's very nice to bash with.

It may be nice, but I bet Igasho is even nicer.

I don't think there's anything wrong with reincarnation, though I don't like cameos at all. Sneaky shape-shifters!
