In one of my experiments, I managed to obtain a history book from the future. It said:

And as for people finding it difficult to find things to offer, I've noticed I get a lot of sickles and athames offered to me.

Gorgogs in the cave are insanly easy though with the nymph you can pretty much hunt them at level 50 or 60 if your careful.
