Race affecting criticals

He means the chance of a crit, not the actual crit damage
Unknown2006-03-12 07:20:27
Severity means amount of damage, if he ment chance he would have said chance.

Though all in all this thread is pretty useless anyway, so it doesn't really matter.
Daganev2006-03-13 02:58:20
Hmm, what I ment is that previously I got Critical Hit, and Crushing critical hit VERY often. Last time I went bashing I got OBLITERATING CRITICAL HIT, and World Shattering hits very often, and still got the average of 1 crit every 3 hits, however the criticals were more impressive.

if only I had time to test this, I'm pretty sure there is something funky with krokani.

Maybe you were never meant to be a Krokani, bearman? dry.gif

If it's a bug, it's most likely related to the native weapon bonus, as you said. That would make more sense than the race being bugged.

I sorta had the same thing as orclach to faeling... chin.gif
Ekard2006-03-13 08:35:21
I didnt noticed anything like that when changing from merian lord to igasho and then to human. Blademaster all the time.

In theory yes.

But in practise speed weapon is much better. With rapiers i was able to get 120 obesefessors per 30 minutes.
With katana i cant. Only like 75-100.

Not to mention that i was bashing a LOT faster with rapiers then broadswords.

You and your champ helm extra speed... PAH

My crits are only a little less than yours since you are a titan and I can't even do 100.

At high levels damage weapons suck for hunting. Sure damage crits do a little more, but speed crits are much better for killing things. Also,it's sad when Athana kills pretty much anything in an oblit crit whereas those same things withstand my Anni and sometimes my WS crits.

I still didnt saw anything that could survuve my WSC, but your right speed rule. and those 120 obesors was when i already was titan. Before that 75-80 was max for 30 minutes.
Niara2006-03-13 11:14:38
Ixion, that's just because we mages, and I include druids here, just rockand we are of course much cuter and all.

Seriously though, the amount of crits, type of crit and such things just depend on your level and maybe your crit arti.

The few hits you did, Daganev, in the example you mentioned, cannot show any real difference as I witnessed myself that the amount of crits sometimes varies a lot but in the long run, when you have acounter and look at the results, you will see that it evens out.

Well I know one mage who that would apply to. biggrin.gif

Psh, I can kill a lot of things on Astral with just a crushing and ya it's sad when a cherub can tank your annihilating powerful crits. Poor Ix comfort.gif

Well, that's because you're only getting a crit on half your attack (one swing) while she's getting it on the whole attack.

Ah, I'll say the name who's on everyones mind.

It's of course me.
Daganev2006-03-13 23:21:14
Ok..

After 200 kills, and 2136 swings, I have 435 crits. (365 are level 1, 62 level 2, 7 level 3, 1 level 4, and 0 level 5) I'm level 77 (42%) and I have a level 2 crit which is suppose to increase my crits by 4/100. Now the help file says its suppose to 16.6% at level 80. My calculations says my percentage is around 20.3 ... Isn't this a bit high?
Shamarah2006-03-13 23:30:10
16.6 + 4 = 20.6... that's not unreasonably high, it's just deviance.
Richter2006-03-13 23:52:51
Does anyone have the script for a counter?

As if I didn't take that into consideration...

Even with 20+ str, two of my oblits don't compare to a good mage's single oblit. How do I know this? Oh only about a few thousand tests when hunting.

That's not nearly enough swings (make sure you aren't counting misses/dodges) for accurate data. At 5000 the % gets better and at 10,000+ it levels off very nicely.
Daganev2006-03-14 17:40:01
I'm definitly not counting misses, and even if I was, that would lower my percentage not raise it tongue.gif

Richter I can post a script, however its based on Button output, so it may not be very usefull.
