I like this idea. Very much.
Verithrax2006-03-12 04:57:39
I give this idea my seal of approval.

Also, I think this thread must be moved, pinned, and renamed: For god's sake, don't ever do that to a thread.

Think about it in the most wrong context possible.

I dont get it blink.gif ?

When Men are "excited", the scrotum sac tightens up, thus likely providing a little protection from the kick, and the pleasure sensations might help to numb the pain.

and im gonna regret asking this but erm is that actually true?

O and erm yea good idea Ixchigal, and you should be ashamed of yourself starting such a crude topic nono.gif hehe
kinosh2006-03-12 13:02:55
Yes ferlas it is true. It provides body heat, providing the sperm a chance to heat up and increase their general activity.

Anywho, I like the original idea, the one not involving penises.

Not in my experience.

On a stupidity scale from 1-10, 10 being high, the person who allowed Soll to test that is a 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

First.. I like the idea of being able to control GFs like that.

Secondly, this is the WORST hyjack I've ever seen. PLEASE never do this again.
Iridiel2006-03-13 17:21:44
And how would you count the rule of one GF/GDF a day? For example, would you be able to give two half-favours a day, instead of a full favour?
Verithrax2006-03-13 17:31:16
Either way would work fine. Being able to gauge how much punishment you give someone would be great.

I really think people are too strict with GFs. You see lots of GR1 and GR2 and GR3 people, and up to GR5 on guilds with advancement programs, but very few people manage to get GR6, 7, 8 or more.
Saran2006-03-13 17:36:06
heh Saran kinda shot to rank 4 in a few weeks, Though he was rank 2 for a while.

I'm guessing one more favour for rank 5

Also I've done no advancement things tongue.gif
Murphy2006-03-14 02:57:42
GDF ialie for being crude.

You guys, harden up means toughen up.

While IC Murph is sexist, the real Murph isn't sexist at all.....although the idea of driving a stiff one through some of these lusternian girls is enough to make me 'harden up' the truth is......it means toughen up and don't be such a soft wuss!

EDIT: You can blame the other hijackers in this thread, it all seems to be heading on a downward spiral, gradually getting worse and all you little fairies need to know that the Murph is the king of oneupsmanship....you should see bellator at times I even disturb Daevos enough for him to make a comment and we all know daevos never talks

I think this is a good idea, Ixchilgal.

I don't think the difference between GR5 and say, GR10 favour is THAT great really, but there certainly is a difference, and I'd like to see more control over favouring in general.

I also wouldn't mind if people with adequate rank could favour more than once. Say, GR5 gets one, GR10 gets two, GR 15 three, GR 20 four?

I don't think it'd add any additional risk of abuse, as it is now people can just favour the same person four months in a row if they want for the same result. And the spanking they'd receive for it would not be any different than if they had done it all at once. Only it'd simplify handing out rewards and punishments for the administration, who at the moment have to decide between punishing someone for a minor but deserving misbehaviour, and favouring a minor but deserving contribution.

How about a system where having a certain rank lets you distribute your "favour" between several favours?
So a GR15 could either hand out three GR5-equivalent favours, or a GR10 and a GR5 one, or one favour worth the full "weight" of GR15.

That'd also add an additional level of appreciation to favouring someone, apart from the rank-increasing part, if someone considers your contribution good enough to warrant rewarding you with all the "favour" they can give that month...
Aiakon2006-03-14 13:59:38
Alternately.. you can do what I've just done.

Get a Guild Project for Favouring. On it.. define a few boundaries between types of favour.. and whenever someone is due a favour and yours would be inappropriate, add them to the project under the right box and wait for someone else to do it. Easy as pie.
Eyod2006-03-14 14:39:12
it would be nice from say rank 10 to be able to alter the power of your once a day favour, like GUILDFAVOUR 7 whoever, I mean it's not major but it's still nice.

Of the people I see on GWHO regularly, I can probably count the GR1s with one hand. Meanwhile, there's a good 3 people who are only under GR6 because I can't get on enough to give the favors I owe them, and probably 4 more that I KNOW can reach that rank if they just SPOKE UP about their accomplishments.

To note: If you plan on making an advancement program, don't make it like school testing: "send 2 articles no one is going to read and you get a GF" "Win a quiz and get a GF"...BLAH.

Think about your guild. What do you WANT your people to be doing regularly that helps the Guild and/or City? Then, make a program revolving that. It serves three purposes:

1. It tells people that are bored what the guild needs to survive.

2. It makes sure those that can GF are watching for people actually doing something. It's disheartening when you've spent a year stopping raids and all you get is a pat on the back.

3. It turns GFs into a sign of who truly has been the most valuable.

Once you have that set up, just flog people left and right until they start actually doing it. tongue.gif

I disagree.. A guild favour is a guildfavour there should be any such thing as a lesser guild favour. Someone did something to warrant a guild favour.. give it to them.

You are aware that the higher your guild rank, the more powerful your favour.. right?
Eyod2006-03-15 00:11:44
I suppose you can also take the view that if they did something well enough to impress a highly ranked person then they deserve a favour from said person.

You are aware that it still takes quite a few (even GR 19-20 favours) to raise people higher then anything beyond 1-3.. right?

To get Zenji from 6-7(over the past 16 years) I got something like one rank 20, three rank 19, and three rank 7-8 favours.
Iridiel2006-03-15 12:10:52
From what I read in Achaea, a level 20 gf is worth 20 points, a 19 is worth 19 points etc...
To get from gr1 to gr2 you need 10 points. From gr2 to gr3 it's 20 points. Gr3 to gr4 is 30 points, etc...
Don't know if it's still like that but from the numbers given it's reasonable to think so.
