Hi, I wasn't really sure where to post this. I originally play Achaea and it's gotten a little bit too boring for me and I wanted a change. I've had a little alt on Lusternia and never got into it, however I would like to now. Basically I need a little help before I can make a character as I know squat about Lusternia so any help would be appreciated it. I want to focus mainly on bashing and I'm not sure which race or class/guild would be best for that? Then I'm not sure about cities so if anyone's able to help and explain why it would be much appreciated.
Cheers.
Cheers.

Ur'Guard, Viscanti. So you have to choose Magnagora.
Unknown2006-03-22 09:53:01
Thank you so much. Which would you suggest for high magic/low magic and rituals/hunting?
Kharne2006-03-22 10:03:16
Definately rituals
high magic for the bonus str
low magic for the bonus con and dex i think
high magic for the bonus str
low magic for the bonus con and dex i think

High magic the best stuff in low magic is protection from poision gas which you would get as a viscanti anyway, a con buff which you dont really need as a warrior and serpents barrier which is nice but high magic just seems better for you.

The extra con is a lot more helpful then anything at below master highmagic (yesod and netzach? Woo, invisibility and extra charisma). And orange is "protection" from the effects of hunger. I can't really think of many reasons to choose Highmagic beyond the +str.Whichever you choose, I wouldn't suggest learning anything beyond red/malkuth unless you plan on buying credits anyway.

You should get gifted which ever you pick for green though.
Everiine2006-03-22 12:13:53
Wow, as if that wasn't blatant propaganda.... when a new player asks what they should pick for a characted, wouldn't it be more helpful to explain to them a little about EACH organization instead of telling them what they HAVE to choose? Though I guess the decision has already been made.
Yrael2006-03-22 12:46:15
Probably, except Ur'guard viscanti can get huge strength and con, and while wielding fullplate and broadswords with putrefaction can cut damage down severely for maximized bashing effectiveness.
Hey, that, or just create a Moondancer, they're obscene anyway.

See, that's better. Giving reasons, so the person knows what to expect.

Not as helpful. Saying what one has to do without saying why.

Meh. To each his own I guess.

Do I get to say "When I want you to talk, I'll put a coin in" now?

Elfen Moondancers with sprite/nymph/mother's can hunt fairly well, untill you get up to the stronger stuff, and you've got pretty low health throughout the levels.
The only reason I would tell a new player to think about is low level hunting for warriors kinda sucks. You need to get decent weapons/armor to be able to do anything. But once you do you'll be very good a hunting/bashing/XPing/whatever you like to call it.
You also have to realize that you won't have any of these skills we're talking about right away, and either will need to buy credits, or hunt for gold to buy them on the market, to get your skills up.
If instead you are looking for the fastest way to be the best at hunting with the least lessons applyed you should go Mage(aqua/geo) instead, as they don't have to wait till Trans to get their staff.
Rauros2006-03-22 13:45:55
Magnagora needs more players anyway. Just please don't join Serenwilde. They suck. You'll have the least amount of fun in that organization.
Nyla2006-03-22 17:17:06
If you want to go the uber hard RP route go Glomdoring
If you want a more church/crusades like atmosphere go New Celest
If you want your standard evil go Magnagora
If you want to go the blind faith route go Serenwilde

Booo, false advertising.
Although ur'Guard are probably the most "evil" in impressions, Geomancers really aren't evil.

As we have the highest population, apparently people do think we are fun.
Although I have always wanted to make an alt in Magnagora. It seems like it has a lot of fascinating culture, so if you want that, head to Mag. And yes, they do need more players.

Even their allies consider Geomancers to be somewhat insane,
as the twisted element they work with often twists their minds as well.
Standard Evil

Insane.
Not necessarily evil.
Just batty.
