Since I have play Lusternia, never once have I ever said anything bad OOC about any organization in the game. EVER.
Once again, your short descriptions were inaccurate and truly only "favored" Glomdoring.
Imagine if you were unsure about something and after asking, you were given the following options:
A. Standard, routine... not all that unique.
B. Totally narrow minded. You won't be able to think for yourself and will have to blindly follow
C. Difficult, but rewarding and you will be able to be highly expressive
=====================================================================
Does anyone pick A or B?

My descriptions were not inaccurate. I never stated any were better than the other. I gave a description of Magnagora that would draw people who were more inclined to be evil, of Celest for those who are more inclined to be good. My description of Glomdoring was not one of favour but a heads up of hey.. this sh*t might be harder here.

Magnagora isn't evil. It's amoral.
Drago2006-03-24 22:58:08
So is Celest, Serenwilde and Glomdoring. Each (depending on the citizen, I suppose) will do whatever they can, beyond going against what they stand for, to make sure their city/commune is most powerful.
Suggesting one is more morally correct then another is just stupid. I've said more then once that to declare one organisation "evil" is foolish.
Magnagora is about the Taint and Transformation.
Celest is about the Light.
Serenwilde is about Serenwilde.
Glomdoring is about Glomdoring.
There's no point in giving new people opinions that automatically skew their opinion of other cities. Tell them what each city stands for and let them make their own opinion of what is good or not.

Angels tried to level the city of Tokyo-3, but demon looking robots kicked their angelic behinds and saved the world...

Hi everyone. I'm sorry to resurrect such an old topic, however, for some reason I can't start a new thread/topic?
I'm new here as well and I was wondering what would be a good guild and race combo to pick for someone who likely won't buy any OOC credits and wants to focus on killing NPCs? I could only find threads about being tri-trans etc. Thanks!

That's what the rolecall thread is for. And you might want to try a mage (city). MOre damage than a Guardian, and warriors take more effort and credits.

Now that you have replied to any thread really, you can start topics now. This was done to prevent spammy spam bots from posting their broken link porn.
As for the second thing, I have no idea.

Because it's only when the links to porn don't work that we want to stop them being posted... Right?!

Bards are a good class for a focus on killing NPCs. In most classes, the strength of your attack depends on how much you've learned in a guild skill, but for bards your damage is increased just by using your skills so you don't need to spend credits to learn your guild skills. Any race with high INT is a good bard race, and fast eq recover is a good advantage as well.
Talnar2007-06-27 17:52:32
Time for Talnar's 2 cents!
Okay, I've had alts in all of the organizations across Lusternia at one point or another, so I have some experience with this stuff. To get it all out of the way, yes, I favour Celest/Serenwilde over Magnagora/Glomdoring, just over personal reasons. Disagree with that or not, I don't give two :censored: about it!
And now, on to my post...
Magnagora, as I like to think of it, is militaristic. They believe in the Taint, which came about from the evil Soulless God Kethuru. They promote the Taint, and follow the Demon Lords of Nil. Magnagora also consists of some of the greatest fighters in Lusternia, by far. If you wanna kick ass and take names, I'd go with here, as Magnagora's always raiding somewhere that Celest owns.
Celest promotes the Light, and detests the Taint. Their culture is more churchy/crusadistic (made that word up! YAY ME!). They're a mostly lighthearted group, I've experienced, and most are pretty cool people. They also have some freaking amazing fighters. If you like the church, or promote things that in todays sense would be Good, then I'd go here.
Serenwilde, I thought for the longest time, was filled with hippies, until I actually joined. They're very lighthearted, lax, and carefree for the most part. However, they're very defensive of their territory, and defend it with a passion. (I like to think of them as the Lusternia version of New Hampshire. We're the most Xenophobic people you'll ever find in your life. Massholes beware! ) If you enjoy the carefree lifestyle of dancing around a big tree, and singing to the Moon, go for Seren!
Glomdoring is the negative of Serenwilde. Their RP, IMHO, is just EPIC. They're dark, scary, badass, and they follow an insane Patron Goddess named Virivain who likes cookies, but don't hug her, though, or she'll kill you. I personally really like them (even though Talnar's from Serenwilde). They can be helpful, but are also sorta... blind-faith'ed. That forest was Tainted, then turned into a Commune by someone who can't see the Taint, and forced the belief that the Glomdoring wasn't Tainted. Now it's Wyrden... ohh well! If you enjoy the dark, almost emo, culture, then go here!
However, above all else, try to enjoy yourself with where ever you end up. You'll find (and this has happened to me many times) that you'll fall in love with whichever organization you join, and will defend it's honor to the death, much as the rest of these posters ahead of me have done. Pick a Race that you think you'll enjoy being, and then pick a Guild where you think you'll be great in. I personally have good qualities with being a Mage, though I decided to try to become a Wiccan, just to see how it's like. I like it so far! You never know what you'll find here, and I think that's what makes this game so badass.
