I'm finding guildwars boring without a guild...

Yeah, it really is. That's why Factions will be so much better than Prophecies - not only do you have a guild, your guild is a part of an alliance of up to ten guilds. More people to do things with, more active people around, etc.

SO which guild should I join?

You could join mine if you wanted. We're a friendly, mature, primarily PvE guild with members that help each other out on missions, quests, and the endgame dungeons. We're an international guild with members on the American and European servers, but we're based in America. We avoid people who are jerks, inconsiderate, impatient, rude, greedy, unplesant and/or unhelpful.

Once Factions comes out though (4 days, 1 hour, 36 minutes, 53 seconds from now), we'll be playing that primarily, and a lot of the inactive members will be coming back for it Sooo can't wait.

Omg, I love it. Except the story, which is BLAND so far, especially when I loved the Prophecies storyline

But, but.... TURTLES! With GUNS ON THEIR BACKS! XD

Storylines don't seem the strong point of Guild Wars. Factions is bland (from what little I've seen so far) and Prophecies is horribly cliched and predictable (especially the part with the Vizier - during that mission, I was like, "Okay, so where's the option to NOT GIVE HIM THE SCEPTRE?")

Well, slight necro (MUAHAHA, RISE MY LITTLE MINION) of this thread... but Shorlen got me hooked on the absolutely beautiful scenery of Factions.

Shor, Shir, and me are progressing at turtle pace through the prophecies campaign, but if anyone wants to team up with a lowbie in the Factions side... I'm Tavron Dawnfire there.

Everybody loves da mm. Wish people would be nice to my A/Me... No love I swear.

And then there's the neeeeew Guildwars coming out soon.

I wish I could play it.. but I wouldn't be able to put enough time into it, which is sad.

Nightfalllllll!! Whooo. Can't wait to buy it. Hope to get the collectors or whatever if it comes out with it. Scythes, oooh.

Dervish are so going to be nerfed though. They were insane!

Yeah, my bro and my sis' boyfriend said the same thing. I'm not too big on PvP, so I didn't really play the two new classes on the PvP weekend. I kind of wished I had now.

OMG they were fun. Builds like my time bomb dervish (using Mystic Sandstorm - strips all enchants, deals damage based on number of enchants stripped, and some of the enchants did damage when they were stripped) will soooo have to be nerfed. 300 AoE earth damage, then twelve seconds later, 300 more, and two full heals as a part of the damage

Much from me for Paragons. Bleed + strategic interrupting + daze + deepwound all from a range = dead boon prot.

Anyway, if anyone ever is playing GW and needs another person, feel free to ask me and I'll probably join in if I'm not doing anything. I have an elementalist and a ranger in Prophecies and a warrior and a necromancer in Factions.

The ease at which a Paragon can keep someone permadazed is ABSURD! Especially with small teams where you hit the boonprot with it, the one who is likely the only person on the team able to cure other people's conditions
