As Laysus said, adding a defense would screw a lot of people. Pooka, in the vast majority of cases, is used for small things to assist your afflictions or hindering. It is only rarely able to totally screw people. A defense that needed to be stripped would mean it would hardly ever be used for anything OTHER than completely screwing people. Narsrim would find a way to strip the defense and pwn you, and the rest of us would just not really bother with it if all it's going to be is a lot of hassle for Focus Body or something.

Make power feats unforceable, focus spirit and allow selfishness to prevent emptying vials(lame bastards *shakefist*) - problem solved.

Agreed. Although I'd miss the option to empty vials. I haven't ever done it, but it's a hell of a lot more effective than making them put them in their pack.

Sounds good to me.

Vial emptying doesn't sound TOO TOO bad, since it's counter is both not letting the battle go too long with the pooka around and carrying multiple vials. At best, they should be able to drain one vial before you start slamming down the pooka (if they stop you, then they're winning anyway, so advantage to them).
So let's just leave it at Power feats (maybe focus spirit: don't know how abusive that is) and leave it at that. The pooka still needs some way to make people VERY angry after all.

I don't like vials being emptied with it either, tbh.
And Daganev: you make it sound like instatrampling is difficult. Seen what Geos can do with it? Forcing dive is nothing.

Actually, if you have already cannibalized mana, you can't be forced to do it again
It actually works like this.
IF CURRENTHP > MAXHP OR CURRENTMANA > MAXMANA THEN ABLETOCANNABLALISE = 0
My problem is, if you haven't tsarted combat with the said wiccan yet, or you don't see him enter the room and don't see the pooka take control of your actions you can do nothing to stop it.
If I know whats coming i can stop it, its when there is no possible way to know if its coming or not.
trample isn't a problem when sacrifice is unworkable.
You should be able to be standing and cured before they get balance back from trample, if not then only have one arm crippled.

The last skill that could mess with peoples vials was removed from what I was told.

It wouldnt matter that much if the dancer could get a slight jump on you if they couldn't force things that are insanly damaging to you like canabalise.

The problem with dilute was that for 3p, you could permanently ruin every health and mana vial in someone's inventory. To top it off, there was a bug that was never fixed where even if you emptied that vial and got it refilled, it would still sip at 50% less than it should.
I bashed up to level 80 sipping for 400 health each time because we didn't know it existed at this point
Point being: You can't compare 3p, unstoppable, ruined 125 vials worth of potions permanently to a force to empty a vial. Is forcing to empty vials lame? Yes... is it comparable to dilute? No.

Hah, dilute.
Just that word alone is enough to make me chuckle.

Ceres tried to dilute me once. I put all but three of my vials away first, then went on bashing afterwards, because back then it was against stuff I could hit without sipping >.>

muhaahaha they got rid of dilute, and I still have shieldbash.
I should start griefing people with it!

Well if they are willing to dump your vials theres no difference between doing that and you dumping their shield, go for it.

I've been pooka'ed to empty vials before by some of the old school shadowdancers who have since now moved to other places/things. Losing 200-1200 gold every 12 seconds isn't fun.
Also the trigger for it is as easy to set up as the focus body trigger for the pooka, I just don't use it because I don't like the tactic. If I can't win unless they don't have quicksilver/mana potions, do I really deserve to win against them?
Narsrim2006-03-28 14:01:57
You have to be on balance/eq to dump vials. Ethelon tried to force me to dump mending so he could trample, but it never worked.

I forgot about that, geuss that is reason number two I don't use that tactic.
