I too agree there are far greater imbalances in this game, but all imbalance is still bad.

I for one, have decided to not go for the 3-4 hit kill in duals and spars, and instead beat them by nailing their legs and gut and beating them, still eventually by bashbrain but doing it much more convincingly

Sorry if I drag you back to the topic of this thread but...

Can anyone explain to me why using pooka this way is NOT a problem?
I mean, yes, most nifty pooka forces are stopped by lack of power, lack of balance or being prone. Will I typically be without power, unbalanced, or prone while not in a combat at the moment? Therefore, what stops a moondancer from jumping me, forcing secrets/allhexing, then waning twice while I'm off balance, and by that rendering me helpless? I'd like to hear suggestions.

I don't really care all that much what your dictionaries say, to be honest, nor how overpowered Murphy is, because we agree he is and he's getting nerfed and that's the end of the problem for the moment for me.

Also, I too think that ordering someone should be an agressive action, because, well, it is. Ordering the pooka to attack is agressive, that's fine, the pooka gaining control of someone is a passive, non-harmful effect so it should not be agressive, that's fine too, ordering someone to do anything against their will is an agression though, and should be treated accordingly. I don't see why this would put wiccans at an unfair disadvantage. Every other means of forcing someone to do stuff is agressive, PLUS all of these either involve a power cost every time it is used or has a defence against it, neither of which applies for pooka.

You can actually cure an allhex before the Moondancer recovers eq. At least, I can.
Ashteru2006-03-25 10:44:47
Not all have focus mind, as you just saw with me.
Unknown2006-03-25 10:53:38
Ah yes, I see the problem, Murphy was about hod, not focussing.

Regarding people not having focus mind... well, not everyone has allhex, or impatience, or have sufficiently advanced parries and stances to deal with a warrior, or can afford stocking enough cures. *shrug*

(About where in Hexes is impatience, by the way? Comparable to FocusMind in Discernment?)

I know, just needed to rant a bit. tongue.gif

But you can theoretically get away sapped. tongue.gif

Nah, only thing that irks me is that I didn't get suspect on you two.

chin.gif Not without help though..well, it depends on the allhexe. If it's the paralysis/impatience/anorexia/asthma/twiddledum/twiddledu type, then it's unlikely. tongue.gif

Tumble isn't fabled environment. Focus mind is fabled discipline. I don't know anyone who didn't get tumble first.

I got Focus Mind first - I preferred to have a bunch of useful skills that I use on a daily basis to fluidswim, chop and sewers.
