There we have it, with athana parrying and stancing i hit it one out of the 6 times.

I'll do some math later on more accurate probablities, but it's nothing really much to worry about it.

The only thing retarded here, is that i'm doing so much wounding it takes her a while to cure it back to safe levels again, but the point of this log was

A. To point out the unreliablity of my -3 hit combo- so to speak (which is stopped if you put smoke rebounding up, which takes 6 seconds and I combo at 3.1 seconds and 3.3 seconds on eacharm -diferent weapon speeds- so 2 combo's and i have 2 raze you again)

B. Warrior unreliablity too, it's so annoying to have someone's body part at critical and miss it 4 times in a row.

One part I would like to capitalise on - the difference between weapon specialised races and normal races is HUGE. Sure it may only be a 9% increase in theory (think it was like 90% for non and 99% for specialised) but that difference is EXTREMELY noticable and makes it a lot harder to fight.

Hence why I keep telling Murphy to try Krokani... As a Krokani, I never missed.

Consider a typical opening combo: crush head + crush head

This can (and often does) give broken nose (stun) + fractured skull. If stupidity goes off, then we have one hella nasty starter. You are stunned for 2 seconds (and given that the warrior is recovering balance in this time) leaving around 1 second before the next attack. In this one second, you have to somehow do something productive with a 66% command failure.

This would likely involved applying mending to head and eating pennyroyal. There usually isn't time for this if your size is 12 or below. The next crush head + crush head can likewise give fracture skull, broken nose, and stupidity. I agree there is some chance, but it happens all the time to me. You follow up with a crush to a leg going for knockdown (which happens like 80% of the time from Murphy on a crush) to stun, and you smite down head.

Even if the target doesn't die, the fact is the ability to heal this sort of affliction combination with CONSTANT stun is severely limited. 6.6/10 actions are going to mess up with fracture skull/stupidity. The time line to heal yourself is restricted because you can potentially and EASILY stun every combo.

At this point, you are out of power so it does become more tricky; however, if we consider Murphy's wounding, 2 crushes do 4 health applications worth of wounding (and I have 55 blunt robes). 4 applications X 5 seconds per application = 20 seconds. In this combo: 5 crushes + smitedown = 24 health applications to heal. 24 x 5 seconds person application = 120 seconds (assuming no hindering). 120 seconds/60 seconds per minute = 2 minutes.

If you did nothing, literally you quit fighting, and regened 10p, you would still have a 20 second lead on the target. Now lets assume you do do something... its impossible to keep up with this sort of wounding unless you run after every 2 rounds and wait 40 seconds to heal up.... assuming your commands don't fail and you can run.

In sum, it is too much too fast. Fracture skull, stupidity, and stun in a single combo is probably the single most hindering opening attack possible. A 10p allhex can be cured in roughly 3-4 seconds. This combo alone deals 2 seconds of stun + 66% command failure. And it doesn't even take power to pull off. If a target wasn't parrying head or lacked trans combat, this would easily happen on just 2 swings.

After some testing i believe it doesn't stack, and is only a 33% command fiailure which isn't so bad. Just spam mending a couple of times

I'm just gonna quote you out on this here and we'll go from there eh? Now i want a good clean fight.

First move with double crush to head, I usually don't get both fracture and stun. In testing against someone with 50 blunt robes, I got both fracture and breaknose (stun) on the first combo 3 times out of 10.

The next move (and yes most people generally get to hit me with something like web or whatever between them, 3 second combo's aren't that fast) I would double crush again. The chances of that resulting in concussion are Nill, or close to it (did it 50 times, no occurance)

Then I would have to knockdown. Testing on ferlas with 46 blunt robes (10 points worse than yours) I got a 50% knockdown rate from full health and 0 wounds.


Yes it takes time to recover from wounding and healing, and I agree its too much if you're not a warrior, armour needs to be upped.



SO after spending hours of testing, I have to get 4 crushes in and not miss (90% rate of miss) AND a knockdown (50% rate of hitting) AND a smitedown (50% of hitting) AND THEN on top of that bashbrain has to proc, and depeneidng on your robes (assuming 50 blunt average) you aren't very far into critical so i'm going to throw that in as a 50% chance too.

So, .9 multiplied by .5 multiplied by .5 multiplied by .5 is .1125 in other works, it has an 11.25% chance of coming off.

After the inital combo, each knockdown smitedown combo (which is what you have to do for the win) is say if you hit the leg (no crushes remember you've used your 10 power) stance at trans is approx 20%chance to hit the limb then you need a smite down to the head to occur, so that's .2 X 50% then the smite down actually bashbraining which at this stage could be 70%.

so .1 X .5 X .7 = .07. Or a 7% chance of each succesive knockdown smitedown combo to happen.

Knights are based of luck, and i really wish they weren't.

Murphy, you constantly miss the entire point.

Can you kill someone in three combos? I don't care if it has a 0.01% chance, it shouldn't be possible. However, the reality is that you CAN and not only that, your own bias (we are all bias, this isn't a personal attack) estimate places it at 10% (which quite honestly, is pretty damn high).

You said it yourself on DoK: "I could give any average joe my hammers and they could kill people as easily as I can. That's the problem."

Of course, I likewise support the notion that warrior combat shouldn't be as luck based as it is. I imagine there are times when all the wrong afflictions hit at all the wrong times - which would be annoying.

And even better, what was her dex?

You forget to mention im only gifted combat as well, someone at trans would have a better avoidance rate probally?

Oh and narsrim my dex is 17 and my size is 6 so I probally avoid a bit better than most but remember only gifted combat remember.

Just something to bear in mind when comparing skill ranks. Stats have far more of an impact than skill rank.

Daganev with 2 less dex than me and trans combat is almost untouchable with his trans combat if he stances legs he says.

Not entirely true. For getting the deepwound afflictions you want, 13 str, 16 dex and trans bonecrusher >>>>>>>>>>>>>> 18 str, 11 dex and gifted bonecrusher. Its no use giving someone 150000 deepwounds if you hardly ever hit a decent affliction.

Was she a titan Faeling as she normally is? With 1 in size, and at least 20 in dex?

That is a good bit differant then the average Celest/Seren non-warrior with 8-12size and 11-14dex.

I've always wondered why warriors get so many stat boosts. Aside from Nightkiss/Drawdown, I can't think of a guild skill that Guardians/Mages get that will boost their int, and even then, not as much as Warriors.
