You have to take other things into account, like how no one else has 14con + 15int, Lucidians come the closest with 14/14. (no i didn't take titan/demigod into account because all races have that available to them) To get both of those stats above average you’re going to have to expect some disadvantages.
Humans.

At least you get to target it. Viscanti get something that floats about in the room, poisoning everyone, even their allies if they aren't viscanti themselves.

No. It only hits enemies now.

Considering they have lvl2 healing penalty, they're much less tanky than, for example, lucidians you mentioned.

Assuming a dracnari was fighting in volcanic terrain (which I know, Isune's Fulcrux is just about the only one for now), it was override the sipping penalty. Dracnari are also far stronger than lucidians... who who take a bit more damage from blunt attacks (cudgel, aqua/geo staff, bc, etc).
Simimi2006-04-05 21:11:10
Anyone wanna test the volcanic environment thing with me? I am now curious as to the effect.

But cudgel and staff attacks are based on int. They're magical.
And it would override it even less than Viscanti have it now. But they'd also get some kind of upgraded stats for specializations too, I guess they'd be more or less balanced with other specialized races.
Thing is, they're not. Unlike lucidians or/and trills (which actually suck, at least trills, lucidians aren't that bad. Oh well)

That has nothing to do with what I said. Lucidians have a -1 penalty to blunt damage. A lot of mobs and player attacks are blunt or part blunt (cudgel, geo/aqua staff, bc attacks, etc). Thus, to say a Dracnari would heal far slower than a Lucidian isn't exactly accurate in most circumstances - even less so when volcanic terrain is introduced with pyros.

I misread it then, thought you're talking about Dracnari's bigger STR.
I disagree about the healing, healing penalty sucks a lot more than one point of CON less. Lvl1 blunt penalty you say - lvl3 cold penalty I say. Little less common, but much more severe.
Speculating about pyromancers makes little sense for the situation as it is - Gaudiguch hasn't been opened for a year and a half, and won't be for a long time (if it ever will).
Unknown2006-04-05 21:38:18
I agree. So until the point in time when Gaudiguch is realesed, dracnari get the short end of the stick.
Simimi2006-04-05 21:43:09
Yea that sip penalty does hurt.... my fiance' was talking to me about him aking a new char and FINALLY coming back to Lusternia...he will be Faeling, and only faeling....and sad as it is...he is tankier than me already!

I was under the impression that regen ability was a lot slower then sipping, so a regen never compares to a sip bonus..
Hazar2006-04-05 23:06:11
That's true with ego, but last time I checked, it wasn't with health or mana.
Arix2006-04-05 23:06:21
TRILL POWER!
Hazar2006-04-05 23:09:33
Trill don't have power. Fact of life.
Arix2006-04-05 23:11:11
I gust in your general direction. Besides, we all know that Trill and Lucidians are going to get beefed when hallifax comes back
Hazar2006-04-05 23:14:04
Yeah, but for right now, they're kinda pathetic. I used to play a Trill - then it got depressing. They don't do anything well except fly, and there's very little you can do with fly, as a lowbie.
It did let me link on the early Astral with only Lvl. 5, though.

Oddly enough, it is insanely powerful.
I love the way that anything Magnagora has sole right to - especially that nasty tricksy Carrion, god damn it, nerf Carrion - is insanely powerful.
