Well, Geomancers can use poison as well - and over their whole demesne, and for a longer duration. Also, Viscanti aren't quite as good as the other org-specific races. Shadowlords are insane fighters, Merians have huge int, Elfen have no disadvantages, but Viscanti are fairly bleh all around, with the most damaging disadvantage of them all (-2 sip penalty).

Like I said, Viscanti poison breath is useful, Dracnari isn't. But Dracnari have better stats and no sip penalty to make up for it. Fire breath is there for roleplay.

That's true with ego, but last time I checked, it wasn't with health or mana.

Racial regeneration is more or less as fast as enchantment regeneration (at least lichdom one is).

But... Dracnari do have a sip penalty. mellow.gif

I love the way that anything Magnagora has sole right to - especially that nasty tricksy Carrion, god damn it, nerf Carrion - is insanely powerful.

I love how you live in a delusional world.

Poison gas is extremely effective in Lusternia (in fact, I have always sworn it is bugged). In about 45-60 seconds, you are going to be starving to death. Aside from the rather potent damage this causes, a starving person who isn't a warrior with the consciousness defense will fall unconscious for periods of about 15 seconds during which you can't do ANYTHING.

Imagine if I had an attack that had a potential 15 second stun. Would it be insane?

I heard Isune's fulcrux was volcanic.. not sure if this is true. Oh yeah, you can also bash with fire breath, I guess that's cool ohmy.gif

In all the mapping I did, the only location I found volcanic was indeed Isune's Fulcrux. No paths near Gaudiguch or the Skarch is. In the mountains, the only non-mountain terrain you really get are (un)natural underground. No volcanic certainly.

I've not done any aethership exploration yet (eagerly want to, always loved my exploring..) so I don't know if any places reachable only by ship are volcanic or not.

I'd like to see the regen more useful, but you can't have volcanic that commonly (with the obvious exception of Pyromancers as I think Narsrim rightly pointed out).

Overall I think Dracnari are slightly on the weak side compared to other races, but I can't see any way to make them 'better' (see next sentence). With the specialisations they will no doubt get for being Illuminati or Fire Knights, I can picture specialised Dracnari as being pretty damn good. That being said, I think that sip penalties (as a whole) should be reduced a notch, but that's just my opinion.

Stat-wise, Lucidian or Humans compare pretty well. I get 14/14 int/con at my level (80-84) and that's a stat balance I like. However I feel cheated to be playing a fantasy game and being a Human! Need to save up for that Cameo happy.gif

Again, I don't know why people talk about Gaudiguch as if it's coming out tommorow. Maybe Dracnari Fire breathe could do a decent amount of fire damage on impact with a 25% chance of catching the Target on fire?

EDIT:Since we have level 1 resistance to posions, I think maybe we should have a level 1 penalty. It isn't like that would be a huge imbalance.
Ekard2006-04-10 14:20:34
Idea how to make frie breathe more ueful:

Make it able to melt icewalls like ignite enchantment.
Unknown2006-04-10 14:26:18
You know I thought of that one a long time ago.

You're dracnari. You live in deserts where there are nasty poisonous scorpions and the like. It makes sense for you to have a racial poisons resistance.
Unknown2006-04-10 14:34:17
I know, but why a level one resistance and a level 2 penalty?

Nothing wrong with dreaming. Sure it may not be for years, but you watch little Dysolis go, he's made that damn statue more times than he has fingers biggrin.gif

Can Dracnari PLEASE lose the sip penalty. Even if we lose our resistance to poison. sad.gif
Unknown2006-05-09 19:33:35
A level 1 resistance does not result in a sip penalty. Its your stats that give you the sip penalty.

Um... I think he meant that they lose the resistance as a price for losing the penalty. sleep.gif
