Incidentally, I think it's worth noting that I actually asked that Moondancers refrained from bringing Fae to Moon JUST FOR NOW on the basis that they're all being psychotic and complaining for no good reason so there's clearly something wrong...

...but apparently Albion said to carry on doing it anyway.

EDIT: On a more positive note, assuming we can figure it such that we don't have to bother defending Faethorn from Glomdoring raiding it every damn 5 minutes anymore, that will definitely be a point in the event's favour. Much less stressful. happy.gif

I remember when I went to the Tree of trees alone to apologize about the meld, I touched it with my hands and pressed my forehead to the bark, and I got an electric shock pushing me away.

Because one of the Hartstone melded when we weren't supposed to (literally, I imagine). So the disrespect was assumed to be from the commune as a whole.

And Nejii, that's one thing I didn't quite agree with. The Moon Avatars telling you to collect fae, no matter what. Would have been nicer if they said that Moon is good for fae, and that you shouldn't lose faith in what we do... but not actually commanded us to keep going while they were all upset.

No, the two minutes that could be spared for Albion to talk with us was more like this (I played it up better, but to be honest, my feelings IC were probably hurt most by this):

Narsrim: Albion, the fae do not seem to want to come with us. We wish to honor the Fae and them to respect us as we respect them.

Albion: If you have lost your faith in Mother Moon, don't waste my time.

Of course, I totally made it sound better than that because in my fight-or-flight to either quit the Moondancers or stay, I decided there were a lot of decent people (more decent than I) who needed some comfort so I made it seem nicer. It wasn't. Even Albion raped us with words.

Reality check: This entire event from start to finish... not one damn thing we could do was returned in any way except negative with the exception of the Fae girl... who really wasn't kind to us except that I was just trying to do ANYTHING I COULD POSSIBLY DO to get some response other than: "zomg, slaver we f-ing hate you."

=====================================================================

Zenji was attacked in cold blood and got yelled at for being attacked and killed. Maeve then said no more violence in Faethorn and it was a teribble thing. Why was the VICTIM at fault? Answer: Zenji is a Moondancer from Serenwilde. They are evil people.

Yes, that wasn't good and I agree with you. But it only happened once, and we don't have an example where a Moondancer killed a Shadowdancer in front of Maeve to see if she would have reacted the same way.

Besides which, doesn't this happen EVERY day for Glomdoring? They go to Faethorn to collect fae like serenwilde does, they get attacked and killed for being Glomdoring, sometimes even before doing anything. The Fae congratulate Serenwilde for defending them. Why is the victim of the attack at fault? Answer: They are from Glomdoring. They are evil people.

It's not pleasant on either side... but hopefully these kinds of things won't happen as much anymore.

Exactly. Serenwilde is the antichrist. We can do no right (at least not in this event).

No offence but serenwilde didn' do itself no favours at all,
agravating the queen
threatening to wound butter with a rock
constantly taking fae even after asked to stop
telling lies about their actions

Two minutes listening to Kalodan talk - well, babble-yell-ramble at Butter made me want to puke.

Stop guilttripping the administration or Avaer, Narsrim. You make yourself look like a greater fool than me.
It's not like you are innocently frolicing through Serenwilde and doing nothing evil the whole day long.
Ialie2006-04-10 01:31:22
AWww you can't blame the actions of a few people on the entire commune. When Erion was in Glomdoring he called himself the faeslayer, would kill the own fae he summoned, would beat them and chastise them. That was him though not the entire commune, but I go off on a tangent. Carry on.

Are you joking? Did you see how Maeve tore Umbrawn apart (who was somewhat rude, but I was ready to explode on Maeve and had to log off because the bias was so profound)? Honest to god, I feel sorry for Umbrawn. Imagine if you did something on accident and were told that you were a worthless, disrespectful peace of trash who has potentially doomed your commune, makes them unwelcome in Faethorn. Seriously, it was a speech that could inspire suicide.

As for Glomdoring and Serenwilde, there is always going to be hostility. There still is. That was not impacted whatsoever. While yes, we can't kill them in Faethorn - we can still kill them in Ethereal Glomdoring and get the Fae back they collect and kill their Daughters of Night and still win over Faethorn to Mother Moon.

I really dont see the problem, sure ig narsrim may be upset that he hasnt always been right.

But seriously look at all the amazing roleplay opportuinties you have now.
Ashteru2006-04-10 01:36:39
Or we'll just do the song again and free the fae from the Serenwilde slavers.

I don't care, honestly. I'm not hurt by this anymore. My apathy has reached it peak. I seriously feel deep down whoever was behind this was nasty, rude, and cruel to people in Serenwilde. I thankfully did fairly well, I wasn't Umbrawn or Ialie or lots of other people who did nothing wrong (who likewise is relatively innoncent) that received nothing but hate for a week.

I really do appreciate the admins and I have always up until now loved events, but this was just off the wall. I could have said nothing, I certainly considered it because I expected all sorts of flaming in my direction - but it really upsets me on an OOC level that were some pretty innocent people who got really shafted in this. I think there is a problem when people come to me just torn up over this and just hate being a Moondancer because everything a week ago was demolished to the point where you could ask: How can I help? to be answered by: Shut filthy slaver. Go away.

Or even better, I feel bad for the people who felt bad and wanted to do something make it better, but weren't one of the 2-3 spotlight players and so never even got a response.

Yarr return the fae to their rightfull homes, yarr!

But seriously once ive heard the full story behind this event I thought it was great for the entire basin. This dosnt just effect the communes.

No, that argument is never true. Narsrim's previous actions haven't been proved wrong. It is only from now that the Fae have chosen to exert their independence, this does not invalidate everything Serenwilde has experienced with the Fae until now.

Constantly gathering fae as a commune after they asked you to stop alianated you to the fae.

Cheer up though its great news just stop wallowing in self pity and look at the amazing oportunitys you have now because of this shake up of the old stale roleplay.

You can say that because you werent degraded. There is more opportunity for you, but to say that there is more opportunity for everyone is a bit shallow. A lot of opportunity for people was crushed. There are people who want to help the Fae and want to help Mother Moon... well too bad for them, that's just not there anymore because the Fae have said point blank: we f-ing hate you.

Were you collecting fae while they didn't want to? I certainly wasn't, and tried to convince Serenwilde to speak with them first before doing so... but because we as a commune still were, I got called the Slaver (capitalized sad.gif ) and the Unfae.

I thought it was amusing, and I'm hoping that somehow I'll be able to undo the titling... but I guess we'll have to wait and see. I thought it was all because we didn't stop taking the Fae though - did we?

Maybe we weren't degraded during the event because we listened to them? Though they still were angry at the Glomdoring as a whole, they didn't target any of us. Urazial and Pentu each nabbed 2 fae early on. They were both told not to continue. Daganev got another two the day after, he was told to stop, we made a post saying "Don't do it any more for now," and we actually went for silvery honeycakes to release the two fae he snagged. Of course, you raided to take one because I had been asking for silvery honeycakes... but still, I got one and released the other.

I just don't get the ending, still. *shrugs* Maybe Ferlas has more information, I have to admit I logged off.

No, you never did. Serenwilde was still capturing them up to a couple hours before the song was sung and the event finished.

You reap what you sow im afraid, you were degraded because of your continued foolish actions. You said it yourself before you want more responsibility for actions in the game. And apparently you dont know the full story anyway from your last comment.

To say that there is a lot of amazingly good, new and interesting roleplay paths for everyone. Is in fact completlty true.

Just get out of the depression already you sound like its the end of the world or something.
