I know the admin have been working nonstop on many different projects recently, but is it possible to get an update on the progress of those specializations?

Personally, I think anyone who wants anything done before envoys is not really paying attention to the decrease in game activity, or enjoys a less active playerbase.

Would say you're right, but I'm biased on that matter, always thought envoys should have been started way back in January but I'm like a broken record now. So I've decided to just try to forget about envoys altogether for now.

That's fine, I'd love for all projects to happen simultaneously, but I just don't think it will happen.
If they're 90% of the way to finishing aethercraft specializations, that has to be finished before we move onto the envoy reports. So if you'd like your envoy reports sooner, I think you should be gunning for those specializations.
And quite frankly, I don't care if 99% of people want envoy reports. I can't wait for the aethercraft specializations, and they've been a missing piece in the aethership puzzle for longer than the 'combat-balance' reports.

I'm really kicking myself for giving a timeline that we just can't keep. (You can bet I'm not going to be releasing any more schedules!)
Here's the skinny. We have fallen way behind the other IRE games in terms of getting ready for the Rapture update and have been told by our corporate overseers to concentrate more on the Rapture project than the "other stuff" (i.e., other coding projects). The aethercraft specializations have just turned out to be much more difficult to code than expected. I absolutely HATE to tell you this, but it is simply going to have to be tabled for the time being.
We aren't blind and recognize the need for Envoys; thus, we will be assigning one coder to focus on Envoys later this week. (Yes, we aren't strictly following IRE's command not to spend resources coding the "other stuff"--but if you won't tell, then neither will I.)
Once again, I apologize to everyone for getting your hopes up and not being able to deliver. I honestly thought we would have aethership specs done, implement a new shrine system, and be half way through envoys by this time. However, at least the new shrine system will be coming very soon. (Before you complain that the envoys should have taken precedent over the shrine system, it really would have mattered very little as the delay here was because of a series of unfortunate events that made coding for one person impossible.)

Well, I can't deny I am disappointed, but its understandable that this rapture update is a priority.
I hope the update is going to have some tangible effect on coding time/game uptime/game speed though, for all the trouble it seems to have caused you guys. Oh well, I guess we can wait a bit longer for aetherships.
