Yeah, I run my two-room manse around all the time and almost never get hit even once.

In fact, I would suggest that at this point, it is the best option. I use my one-room ship far more often than I do Avaerin, even though it cost about 1000x the price.

Ok, I have to add this now:
Mind you, a one-room ship can't take on six black dragons and defeat them.
Technically, a two room ship might, but let's ignore that for now.

I can fly solo no problem. Just set your numberpad up so that 8 is north, 9 is ne, 6 is e, ect., get in a small ship, and go fast as hell. I was able to explore elemental, cosmic, and the aether (with the dragons) with no problems. Hunting isn't worth it anyway, so all you'd want is maybe an empath.

I'm not sure I'd say that, if you are between level 20-50 I'd say hunting strong creatures in an aethercrew might be pretty lucrative. It's only for 50+ that it loses its usefulness.
I'd imagine that's one of the reasons you can't have too much experience for aethercreatures, you only need 4 newbies with 15 lessons in a common skillset and a borrowed ship to be raking up the kill count. It's a shame it couldn't be more useful for higher levels - but I suppose that is where the bubbles come in. And you only need a speeder to travel between the various places.

I want to thank everyone for your inputs! I may seriously consider buying that one room ship now.
