Wiccans/Guardians and Druids/Mages are lumped together in the statement that Lusternia has 3 archetypes.
One archetype fights with weapons
One archetype fights with a demesne
One archetype fights with the assistance of summoned beings.

For the benefit of hazar, a spellsniper is a mage who focuses on high-damage, line-of-sight spells, and uses binocular goggles to blow stuff up from a long ways away. and I use dawrves because they have a high body and willpower, but are rather inconspicuous RPwise

At very least in the games I played, footwork > firepower. So a charismatic elf with plenty of charm, connections, versatility, and spirits worked out very nicely. Sure, he wasn't as tough as the sammy once the run really got rolling, but at that point he'd either use manipulations to mess with the opposition or pull out some major mojo-brawny spirit to wipe the floor with things. Very satisfying.

I've heard of this game, I think. Isn't it some wierd game based in Seattle or something?

Originally. They later added some other settings. Without going into too much detail, it's a cross between high fantasy and cyberpunk.
