Ah. Been there, done that. Doesn't hurt that bad. And I don't blame them for pinchin me, I might have eaten their family.
Arix2006-04-14 04:04:33
I did mean crab. Although I know a guy who got his thumb severed by a lobster that wasn't quite dead

Brown Recluse Spider? Those are dangerous. Their venom eats away your skin, like so...
EDIT: was going to link to a picture, but then I enlarged it and realised it was just too nasty. If you want to see, do a google image search
Yeah, we have those. Most people here have never heard of one, let alone seen one. *shrug*

Maryland is even more boring. Zzzzzz
We have um... no.. wait, that was California.
You could always go out to D.C. in Berry Farms and stand around with a leather coat and your wallet in plain sight. It isn't like a snake bite or anything, but you'll probably have to clean your pants if you're not used to that kind of thing.

Excuse me. I happen to live in Brazil. Home of the Amazon rainforest. Home of the world's largest spider. Of course, I've never set foot in the Amazon rainforest and I haven't yet seen any spiders as big as a diner plate, but still. It's the same continent.
I've heard about some butterfly living in Amazon that has cyanide on its wings.
Frighten away one and you can die. Wicked.
Vix2006-04-14 14:24:02
Uhh... I have a couple poisonous snakes but you never see them around the city (though I did see one lying dead along the road near my house).

You should see what We have up here in the Havens.

Pssh. Maryland's good. You've got all sorts of government-types nearby. I mean, what's more exciting then NSA HQ Fort Meade?!?
All you foreign types didn't hear where the NSA is.

You think that's bad? I live in South Georgia and the movie Deliverance is only a taste of the rednecks that live here. I'm pagan and every day I watch my back hoping I'm not going to be lynched then burned at the stake.

Yes, I'm quite serious about it too. I'm in the middle of the Bible belt where it's a sin to be anything other than Christian. I had a local preacher corner me at work a couple months ago to witness to me after he asked me if I had Jesus in my life and I told him "No". Very traumatic. I know he meant well, but meh.

Muahaha where I live there is like nothing danagerous at all, Probally the most dangerous animal here is a badger. And as for religion fair enough people do get murdered for having the wrong second name or religion... but meh no deadly animals only people!
Verithrax2006-04-14 18:56:19
Actually I live in São Paulo. No hurricanes, no earthquakes, no poisonous things. Well, it gets a little windy occasionally. And the pigeons are sort of vicious.
Arix2006-04-14 20:24:56
I only know about those little brown spiders because my old neighbor in Colorado was one of those professors that studies spiders and scorpions. I went to where he worked one time and saw some of the critters he studied, and one of them was the spider Richter mentioned.

Oh, I forgot about the badgers...those can be pretty my lethal, my dad has huge badger mauling marks on his left leg (although he got those in Germany but still!)
Unknown2006-04-15 01:14:00
No dangerous animals around in Poland, I'd be more afraid of the humans. In the wilds, that is. When it gets to cities, umm... I have a very vicious cat. Almost clawed my eyes off one day.
Hazar2006-04-15 02:30:41
Let's not even mention Polish politicians.

Hmm, Maryland DOES have scary squirrels. Very scary. Like, when you chase them, they turn around and growl at you until you stop.
