Besides. I am the hypno toad. All hail the Hypnotoad.
Or Walrus, whatever, but the Hypnowalrus commands you to wash your hair, you greasy git.

Never. THE HYPNOWALRUS COMMANDS YOU.
I even have a new avatar. Can you SEE the hypnowalrus?
And a new member title, as soon as I can find the dirty bastard.

Er, not biting, Yrael.
Shaeden2006-04-22 13:07:17
Oh, Shae's a _former_ verithrax admirer. Now he just sees Verithrax as a stuck up, slightly power hungry man with a silly clan.
Aiakon2006-04-22 14:42:50
Aiakon has never met Verithrax and spoken to him but once, where Verithrax was moderately useful for a few minutes.. that's our history together Verithrax. Sad, eh?

Another fascinating dissection of a charecter you've never heard of, brought to you commercial-free.
Veyda started out as a very scholarly, mercantile, intellectual Ebonguard. He had little interest in learning to fight, and still pretty much thought of himself as the lordling he was before he came through the portal. Fast-forward to the present, and he's doing his best to be Bomani Wyrmglow, the guild tutor. He's become obssessed with the glory of the Wyrd, though in a quiet way, and is furiously debating with himself over whether to reincarnate as a shadow faeling. He's most comfortable when dealing with the Wyrms, because then he's in control and knows what he's doing. When he's not dealing with them, he's doing his best to learn how to fight and influence, in order to escape his feelings of uselessness.

Nobody is useless!
Especially not Wyrm-helpers.

Quickly rose to the rank of Secretary and High Priest in the Celestines. Like Celest's open religion policy, and became an avid Light advocate.

Valarien2006-04-22 16:56:03
Ah yes, the phases of Valarien...
He's actually changed a whole lot since way back when, when I first started playing him.
In the beginning, Val was just another goofy fool. Seriously, think the stereotypical snugglybunny Seren and that was Val. Always hyper, always giggling, and went "Hee!" all the time. ALL the time. Developed little puppy-love crushes on a bunch of girls. Also wore pants a bit too tight.
Then we move on to when Val started "Sobering up" as Shayle put it. He was all dark and brooding, and had a lot of inner conflict when it came to how he wanted to act (Like a carefree faeling goof) and how he should act as a member of Glom and the SD. It was fun to Rp, too. This is when he starts accepting more responsibilities within the guild (Being an Undersec and helping with the shop) and making conscious efforts to act older, also when he developes the belief that age brings wisdom and experience more than anything else.
Next Val becomes a bit more refined, and gets really proper with his wording. He begins spending a lot of time thinking to himself, and developes a slight paranoia about saying the wrong thing to people. As such, he tends to delay speaking for a bit while he chooses the most exact way of wording something in his head before saying it out loud. He developes a bunch of frienships during this time, either intended or otherwise, and during this "phase" sees a lot of personal growth and advancement. (Becoming a Secretary, reaching Supramortal, etc.)
Next comes what I like to call "Leader Val". He matures an awful lot and developes a more apt understanding of the differences between how he would prefer to act, how a leader should act, and how it may be prudent to behave in different manners depending upon who is around, as opposed to being "stiff" all of the time. He becomes the Librarian during this time and developes something of a reclusive nature, spending a lot of time hunting alone or studying in the library, partially due to personal choice and partly due to his friends dissapearing ( Or going inactive! -shakefist- ) .
Finally, the Val we have now. After a huge personal revelation/ephiphamy, Val changes his general mannersims quite a bit, as well as undergoes a pretty hefty physical change. Thinks to some awesome Sisterly Rp from Aranya (You still need to make some babies) he developes the subtle "Glomdoring is amazing and blessed, I'm from Glomdoring, making me superior" mentality - A staple for any real Glomdoring member. And becomes a bit more pronounced -- Spending time doing things and interacting with others instead of just hunting constantly.
Dunno, Val's pretty simple at a glance, but truly a complex Character if I were to delve into his inner workings. At any rate, pretty sure I'm just boring you guys now, so I'm done

Some of the other young librarian aides occasionally ask me if you're still around.

One of four different shades of black - Methrenton Black, Shakiniel Black, Japhiel Black, or Raziela Black.

Ooh, didn't mean it like that. Meant it more as "This is the Lightm and this is what we stand for" rather then Serenwilde's massive hypocrism Shaeden thought they had at the time.

It's not silly. And yes, that's the only statement I dispute.
