Actually, OOC it's a neat idea. All my Celestines are in it and I'm thinking IC I'm going to have to put something up about not joining (Methrenton and Shakiniel's teachings, well, mostly Methrenton) but I'm far to lazy... meh
Verithrax2006-04-22 23:18:41
Psh. I already have trouble with the paladins.
I think statues make life too hard, really. If you could only tune statues against cities, the game would be a lot more interesting, RP-wise.

I'd dissect Tzek, but I'm too lazy right now and it IS the middle of the night so bleh.

Daxera thoroughly enjoys Kahazul.
And Shaeden...I think Veri likes you more than he likes me. I ...feel ...saturnine.

Tekora2006-04-25 22:47:04
Dissecting. Sounds fun.
Early Tekora held little in regard or seriousness. He's a Trill, and with his wings came a deep love for freedom. He entered the Basin as a Celestine, and his independent streak shone brightly. He didn't seek a mentor, spent very little time in Newton, and developed quite quickly.
He left the Celestines about a year after entering the Basin to seek the art of combat in the Paladins. He tried his best as a fighter, but he never got the knack for it. He also didn't much care for the rigid discipline required of Paladins. He did, however, learn of the efforts of the Eliz Tirita and joined with them, seeking to learn more of his lost heritage.
After 3 years in the Paladins, he left them to join the Aquamancers. It was here that Tekora brought some focus to his life. He embraced a scholar's lifestyle, steered away from physical combat and instead studied history and philosophy. He trained himself in the art of influence, becoming an accomplished debater. He also became more involved in city occurances, and rose through the city hierarchy. It was in the Aquamancers that Tekora had the chance to develop.
After 7 years in the Aquamancers, Tekora's restless nature caught up with him, and he returned to the Celestines. Being experienced as he was, he rose quickly back up the guild hierarchy and was just recently anointed as a priest of Japhiel. He also was able to shed a bit of his disdain for politics to be appointed to the head position of a city clan.
Currently, Tekora is focusing on developing his blooming career in politics. He isn't so self-centered anymore, and realizes that people depend on him now and that he is responsible for them.
It's a real touching coming-of-age story, if you ask me.

If it's all the same to you, I'd rather you didn't - It enforces cookie cutter roleplay ('Follow our set dogma, or I'll cut you.') Anything that reduces the range of acceptable roleplay is a bad thing; a church without heretics and hypocrites isn't realistic.

"Hugged a blanket of liquid hopelessness", that's from something. It sounds familiar. Very familiar. 8-Bit Theater?
Also: if you want to see witty exchanges, you need to find that topic where me and Guido blitzed back and forth on the subject of our own makeshift religions. It makes your banter here look like the witless grunting of apes.
EDIT: Well looky here.

Arel2007-04-10 05:40:51
Arel started out as a Celestine. It took him all of three IG months to realize New Celest was weak, and was not the path to glory or power. He scampered off to Magnagora and became a Nihilist.
Arel the Nihilist was quiet, scholarly, and always looking for an opening to rise in the ranks. He joined Baalphegar's cult since it was in line with his quest for knowledge and behind the scenes manipulation. He enjoyed his minor role as a secretary and Archbishop of the Church, because petty power was something Arel the Nihilist enjoyed. Arel also secretly despised Gorgulu, and the city of Magnagora. The Taint was icky to him.
Arel got older and toned down his power lust a bit. He was still passionate about knowledge and sought to join Lacostian's order. By this time he was feeling pretty "bleh" with Magnagora, since scholars weren't much recognized there. He was also feeling pretty aggravated with the Nihilists because the guild leaders at the time pretty much stifled growth and advancement within the guild. Arel was dedicated to the Nihilists more than anything, and quietly fell into despair. He also despaired in Lacostian's order. He left the order and sunk deeper into silence and sadness. After years of despair and failed attempts to change the guild, he left it and Magnagora and wandered.
He was drawn to Glomdoring. It had always intrigued him, even during the time of tense relations between Mag and Glom. He was intrigued by the newly founded Harbingers, and sought out Nirrti to join the guild. Arel had become timid and unassuming. He devoted all of his energies to helping the new guild grow. He also began to embrace his heritage as a lucidian at this time. Eventually Arel was helping novices as an undersecretary and enjoying his peaceful but enjoyable life as a Harbinger. Then the three guild leaders disappeared, leaving vacancies and leaving Arel confused and feeling very vulnerable. Things resumed as normal, but Arel felt swept up in things, unsure of where events were taking him. Confused, lost, and still trying to shake off the last bits of his depression, Arel got caught up in the wishes of others, unthinking, simply following.
Eventually one of the major forces in his life disappeared and he was lost again. The Court asked him to step into the role as guildmaster of the Harbingers. Arel is slowly losing his innocence and gaining his voice. As Ashteru would say "The puppy barks."

I created Alianna as an attempt to get away from my time as Shaddai (being a demesne holder 24/7, first target ALL the time, etc.) I grew so attached to it, that I eventually became Ali instead of Shaddai.
Ali was originally a Cantors member- quiet, not terribly artistic, harvested herbs for a living. Very relaxing. She didn't speak much, I made sure I didn't seem like an obnoxious alt. A bit annoying not having a family, and not being noticed, but I sold enough herbs and funded myself enough to be entertained. Let me stress: Quiet and innocent woman, here. Never fought in her life. Both myself and her got tired of Celest being like hybrid drivers from a certain South Park episode, and we left. The only place I felt content with was Seren...so I went there.
Ali joined the Spiritsingers maybe one, two years into her life.
Time passed, she became a protector. I kept telling myself 'Casual interest in combat, only. Don't get too sucked in.' Haha, right.
A few years later, Alianna became the first Security member in Spiritsinger's history.
A year or so after that, Yini sadly departed. Being the only other major combatant in the guild, everyone urged Ali to contest. Deja vu, anyone? It was the same case with Shaddai and Shorlen, though Shorlen had resigned. I didn't even have Expert Wildarrane at the time, and I was an Illusionist. Entirely manual, too. She couldn't leave her guild hanging like that, so she contested. Nobody else ran.
90 days later, Alianna became the second Champion in Spiritsinger's history. As the years progressed, she became far from quiet. She had extremely colourful and violent opinions of metawake. Oh, and Glomfolk. Can't forget the Glomfolk.
Since then...well...we're both trying to get metawake nerfed so we can actually kill someone who has it. Recently, the first non-Spiritsinger combatant has admitted it doesn't really seem possible. Someone has seen THE LIGHT! Huzzah!

Orti started as a Celestian. Celestine... It was all nice and all, but then he wanted to go into a more "scholary" profession, so he turned Aquamancer... then he joined the Paladins because he wanted to be strong and become a more powerful fighter.
He met Reiha and due to that he was casted out of Celest and labeled an Enemy... He whined and moaned and got admitted back, knighted by Terentia.... and then he left for the Aquamancers and then for the Geomancers... he later became Ur'Guard to follow his military career once again.
Around that time, he wanted to become a Kalas, so he followed Athana and Ixion to Serenwilde and became a Serenguard... Wanting to experience something else he turned Moondancer and got engaged to Dylara. After that he became Nihilist and shortly after an Ur'Guard again and married Dylara in secret.... then he decided to stick with his newly formed family that was already growing up and decided to join the Hartstone... then he got divorced and decided to join the Serenguard again, and he did.
He has jumped like crazy
On a side note, he loves Alianna so much , she's the Kalas he never became

Hmm, to dissect Isluna would be a bit hard, but will give a hand at it.
Yeah, I think I will take Reiha's stand on it.... It's Isluna, not Islune, Islauna. Or Tell Isluna is a blank.......boobs in totaly wrong place......We don't need to see your male that way or female.........Sorry but cyborgs just don't fit in lusternia-though would make a bit of sense if you were Mag, I guess, Undead using things to replace the fallen decaied body parts- and such and such.
Thank you who ever has the name that has the IS I thankfully don't see my screen filled with these as much any more.
Besides, you wanna know Isluna, go meet her, and find out for yourself what she is like.

Just so you know, if you ever complain about how Revan acts towards you again, I will be quoting this. If you want someone to behave civilly, you have to at least try to be civil to them as well.

Getting on Revan's bad side is like looking for the wet part of the ocean, anyway. Even Revan will admit that.
