I thought Crono Trigger sucked. *twiddle*
Every time you say something off the wall it never surprises me for some reason..

Yes, please don't mess with Chrono Trigger. I don't care much about FFVII and honestly.. they could easily make another angsty FF if everyone liked it so much.
I'd rather see the Final Fantasy series stop for awhile and someone new picked up. Just like.. a small three-part continuation of something. With the player in control of the bad guy!
Maybe they should get their arses in gear and restart Chrono Break.
(and somehow I'm not surprised by Richter disliking CT either...he probably got stuck on the dragon-tank or something. )

Yeah, they should either revive the Chrono series or make something new and awesome-like they involves technology (and time travel! Sounds like Chrono Trigger.. ). Square needs a series like that..
And to your second comment; all I have to say is That's nice of you to assume he'd get out of the prison to get to the dragon (Just teasing, Richter!).
Shiri2006-05-05 02:15:01
It doesn't have to involve technology necessarily! I didn't really like the setting for FF8, say. And Chrono Trigger didn't feature much of it in most of the eras except the 2300AD one. And Seiken Densetsu didn't at all.

But in the end.. isn't really all about what I want, Shiri? Isn't it? Just playing.
Eh, I don't know. I've never seen technology really used creatively in a RPG setting, but swords and such > weird phasers any day for me.
And and.. Kingdom of Zeal was so tech-like in a.. mystical way.. maybe.

Zeal was not tech like. *peer*

Yes huuuuuh... flying, weird omni-fortress and all those teleportation thingys! Well.. with a mystical background.
And and.. it had Magus! (I know, that's totally not on topic)

I just thought it wasn't that fun, and when I was in prehistoric land, I thought it was very cheezy. I think I got to... hrm, I probably finished about 75% of the game, from what I understand.
Unknown2006-05-05 03:34:22
Oh, yeah. That era wasn't too cool, but I had a lot more fun with endgame sidequests. The poi thing was fun, but then I played the game back when I was like.. 11 so it was all new to me (And growing up playing Phantasy Star and games like Secret of Evermore I was ready for weird things).
I can't remember what's after that part since I think you go back there twice, but.. I think it gets better after that.

Gah, reminds me, I need to go find phantasy star 4 again. That thing was awesome as well.
Maybe I can work out wtf the spells do now I'm not like 11 and trying to understand the damn thing.

The combos are really nice on that. Isn't there supposed to be a big Phantasy Star release soon?
Shiri2006-05-06 01:04:33
Hm, if there is it's not on any relevant console I'm pretty sure (i.e PS2 or PC )
