The point wasn't whether or not all classes in IRE are balanced for bashing.. the point was that they are supposed to be balanced for bashing.
Therefor any argument saying that mages should be better bashers than guardians for whatever reason, is void. Since they should be equal.

Those of you wishing to continue my eternal crusade against England, please do it here.
And in terms of bashing power, all classes (except guardians) seem about equal. It's defense that's drastically different.

That's odd, Moondancers and Shadowdancers are affliction classes, and they both recieve bashing upgrades.
We did?
Vix2006-04-29 15:19:34
Only thing I see about Wicca is removing wisp, rewriting the Slaugh AB file, and faecall working if the fae are in the same room. Nothing pertaining to bashing.
Xenthos2006-04-29 15:27:35
By "bashing upgrades," he is referring to "moonburst/nightkiss >>> nature curse". As an upgrade.

ANNOUNCE NEWS #562
Date: 4/30/2006 at 16:22
From: Lisaera, the Hallowed Crone
To : Everyone
Subj: Illusions and Envoy Reports
We've just instituted a change to the Illusions abilities illusion,
improved and programmed - you are now able to include new lines in the
text of the illusions. These new lines, however, cost 2 power each, so
there is a maximum of 5 even when at full power, and you must judge
whether or not you want to use up the power for the sake of the
linebreaks.
The way to include new lines in your illusions is simple - just include
"\\nl" in the illusion text, for example: WEAVE ILLUSION Roses are
red,\\nlViolets are blue\\nlThey will need dental records to identify
you...
Note that no spaces are needed (or should be used) around the \\nl, the
linebreak will hit exactly there.
Here are some envoy report changes:
- Hunting Prints will now show all players in the natural rooms of the
area, and all non-animal mobs who are off a normal mortal race. However,
it will only show the race of both of these, for example a mob aslaran
would show up as "a native aslaran" and two human players would show up
as "2 humans".
- Disruption scrolls now have a longer possible equilibrium time, and
the time is slightly variable.
- Healing scrolls will now heal slightly more.
- The minimum amount of damage reduced by the Rituals Draconis defence
has been increased, though the maximum has not.
- Those who use Sacraments Sacrifice to resurrect others will no longer
conglutinate, but all other forms of death-avoidance will still work.
Penned by My hand on the 14th of Dioni, in the year 146 CE.

We've gotta get that ability to break lines added to the SING verb!

Which would give everyone the same ability to
![censor.gif](style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/censor.gif)
Singing would need to be offset in some way to take that into account.
...and there are been so many threads on just this topic before now, I've commented in some of them, but am to tired to recall any.

I think that is the change I'm most interested in myself.
That would mean that someone who Sacrifices could then be resurrected/vitae/immolated, but wouldn't city-conglute.

It's like giving Hunters a modifyed version of Wolf Totem Scent, sounds interesting.

They've always been able to be be resurrected or immolated, right? Though I'm unsure how it works with vitae. At least now we won't have so many batteries who exist solely to sit on their asses in Celest and sac people.
Daganev2006-04-30 17:22:08
Meh, actually, one thing I don't like about the scent upgrade is that it probabbly still doesn't apply to astral. ![sad.gif](style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif)

Ya, pretty much what this means is to sacrifice for someone you need 2 people ready willing and able in a safe area rather then one, otherwise you'll take increased losses.

Out of curiosity, any reason why draconis was needing upgrades?
Kharvik2006-04-30 17:42:10
The 2 powercost per line break seems a bit much I think. Especially since if you really want to break a line there are ways to do it without using the '/nl' thing.

Out of curiosity, any reason why draconis was needing upgrades?
Because apparently it was decided that it didn't have enough effectiveness at the lower level (which is where the increase took place, it still maxes at the same amount).
