Actually, I could see someone's system getting completely shutdown by a 10-power illusion. Hit them with the messages for sap, aeon, inquisition, chasm, and vitae, and watch the sparks fly.

Yeah....since vitaemessage normally resets systems. And sap and aeon are checked as well. Only thing that can shut down my system would be a stunillusion.

The illusion change sounds completely useless.. why would anyone spend that much power on an illusion that is most likely going to be ignored or recovered from within seconds? I think the tendency to have everything remotely useful cost power, is getting a little too extreme.

I suggest allowing the first new line to be free of a power cost. Any additional new line after the first can perhaps cost 1 power. So, it costs the mage nothing in power to make a realistic illusion that is not easily detected by just changing your screenwidth, but a mage seeking to create very realistic diagnose or blackout illusions will have to pay power to do it.

I find it funny everyone uses this argument when I beleive Aesyra herself said most her levels were bashed with other people, not to mention the changes in astral ect.
