Actually my time was wasted more by my Windows computer deciding that life no longer held any appeal for it and blowing itself up than the hacker.

Fortunately the code is on my Linux computer, so it's not an indefinite delay, just an annoyance.

Yeah... I have been feeling too weak for too long... any word on these in depth changes to the warrior class yet? Being a Pureblade Warrior type... It seems like a double blow.... I feel like I could probably get tanked by a pacifist influencer that can heal deep wounds right now... Please say there is a light at the end of the tunnel worthy.gif

Learn to utilize your class, because right now your the only one doing 1600 wounds per hit to me. sleep.gif
Murphy2006-05-11 13:43:23
Ok dude you cannot say to a pureblade or axelord learn to play your class.

They are sereverly underpowered at the moment. Sure he can do good wounds but if you're smart about parry stance and healing you have nothing to worry about.

I actually disagree. Depending on guild, individual Pureblades/Axelords do have things at their disposal which can slightly help against 'good parrying and stancing', so learning to utilize your class could definitely help.
Murphy2006-05-11 15:01:27
yes it can help, but even the best in their fields still suck

He could be doing critical wounds in one hit and he'd still never land a kill against good parry and stancing the way pureblades are at the moment.

Unless he used a shirveling venom.
Or a shriveling spell.
Or went for damage (sensitivity/omen...Thoros is a mugwump, so he's squishy)
Or maybe even used Feed, to try and knock Thoros unconscious.

There's a few options.
Daevos2006-05-11 17:46:00
1. Depending on any venom as a warrior is foolish, since our affliction rate is based on chance. This is especially true of two handers who have the chance of their one handeds brethren. Also there is little point of using either calcise or dendroxin.
2. Shrivel in Necromancy while depended is not worth using, since it shrivel one limb that can be instantly cured for a significant bit of balance and no other offense.
3. Going for pure damage is a option of course, if you invest in elemental runes. Warrior damage without them against trans resilience is laughable.
4. Feed is still bugged, its more likely that Ildaudid would knock himself unconsciousness before Thoros.

Also what's your fascination with shriveling, you can still parry with shriveled arms. Even if that wasn't the case, a warrior would have to keep both arms down against most people to stop them from parrying. Since most people use a item that can be parried with in both hands.
Daganev2006-05-11 17:49:54
Whats wrong with calcise for axelords?
Terenas2006-05-11 17:50:39
I'm hoping for more warrior downgrades so I can quit the class and become a Drood or Moonie. biggrin.gif
Daganev2006-05-11 17:51:41
Also, I have found that while you can't rely on poisons as a warrior, they sure help a lot!

I know that depending on venoms as a warrior is foolish, but they can't hurt.

And I was under the assumption that shriveling would stop parrying.. as that sure as hell makes sense. Has that been envoyed in the past? And do guardians usually wield 2 parrying objects? I usually only see them carrying around shields.

And I thought I heard Feed had been fixed. Bleh. That's retarded.

Anyway, I wasn't trying to say that any of the ways were something special, but I was just naming off things that I figured could at least shake parry a bit. Its simply retarded that you can parry with a shriveled limb though. And that Feed is still bugged. Both of those just defy reason.
Daganev2006-05-11 19:16:57
Will someone give the aquamancers an envoy for gods sake?
Daevos2006-05-11 19:21:39
Should care more about the Serenguard....
Daganev2006-05-11 19:23:32
The serenguard have an admin who is willing to give them one.
Ildaudid2006-05-11 23:51:36
Thank you Murph, Ferlas and Daevos for explaining exactly what I mean.

And yes I could utilize my class more... that could be said of anyone tho. For the time being AL's and PB's will have make due with what we have and hope to see something nice come our way. I also am amazed Daevos doesn't hit you harder with wounds then I do, I would expect him to. unsure.gif

Yea if that gone happen after changes im gone mage.
Ixion2006-05-12 06:53:17
If I didn't have so much invested in being a warrior, I'd have switched long ago.

It's even more tempting to pull a Murphy and go mage now, being that psionic mages are simply amazing now.
