No... there was no power cost for one liners. The only thing that changed was that improved illusions now show to everyone and to make it so you don't see it, you spend extra willpower.

That sounds pretty nice then. Especially being able to test the illusion, then turn it off so it doesn't screw with your system (instead of having to code it to ignore your illusions)

In the beginning you would see the illusions when they showed up. Then they changed it so the caster doesn't see the improved illusion. Now you have a choice to see it or not.

Yep - I never use them either. Only time I ever have in the past was for long Heretic messages, so I can scare you Mags into ghosting.
