You can see it from a room away and meld over it.
Raise cudgel doesn't stun for the length of the eq. Climb down, chop, get hit by raise cudgel, climb down, break meld, profit?

Yes you can see it, I suppose that's useful.
Things usually go more along the lines of Climb down while curing demesne, chop, treelife, sapling is back, climb down chop...so on and so fourth until you are dead.
I've had to fight Krellan's demesne numerous times. It simply doesn't work.
Xavius2008-02-13 01:20:03
Really? That's funny, because I don't die to Krellan when we're both alone in his demesne, and he's generally more creative than repeated use of raise cudgel. Maybe the problem was the mage trying to break Krellan's demesne who somehow died to raise cudgel whoring. Hmm.

Xavius your lame. and how does a blacktalon win a fight with out their demesne? dream weave them to death? but back on topic i think Just because you cant handle a tactic doesnt mean everyone can't. i mean sucks to be you lrn 2 stay out of somones demsene if you cant live long enough to cut a tree. on the other side it does sound a little harder to break their demesne than it is to Check reality for a mage. but who said it wasnt supposed to be that way Mages have alot more combat skills out side their demesne than druids do.

What does this mean? "Xavius, you're lame but I agree with you entirely." is how I'm parsing it.

Celina, were you not a druid at one point? Granted it is harder to remove a sapling than it is to remove illusionary terrain, your experience as a druid should have at least allowed you to deal with whatever was happening, and still get the sapling removed. I may be wrong, but I do not remember them receiving any upgrades since you were one.
Unknown2008-02-13 01:43:37
Celina if you want your causes really looked at more you need to post logs of how it went down. You wont get much respect if your not showing real examples.

one vs one. Congratulations. You have made a point, again, that is not relevant to the point I raised.
No mage or druid is going to get anywhere trying to break another mages meld one vs one. It turns into a taint/flood/forest war until someone a)gets bored or

You can't "balance" sapling and terrain one vs one.
Demesnes are, my design, for group combat. At least, that is how I perceive them. Breaking a druid demesne is, as a result of sapling, the demesne, and the druid, substantially more difficult than breaking a mage demesne.
Edit: Make saplings chopable from trees. That's my idea. I don't see why it shouldn't be. Druid effects still hit in the trees.

Problem is that realitycheck is a near trans skill in a nearly useless skillset and costs lots of power.
I bet you that I could chop down more saplings faster then I could dispel all the illusions. I'm an omnitrans warrior.

What?
Realitycheck is a power-free ability in a skillset that's useful to several classes (and only a little past potionlist which is awesome for everyone.)
You're thinking of critique or something.

the difficulty to break a druids demsne is balanced. in that they have no telepathy or phantasms that are awsome all by themselves.

Balanced by the fact that druids are among the best PvPers in Demesne?
Unknown2008-02-13 02:15:42
well when they cant do much out side their demesne yes its balanced.

I've had much worse agree with me. There's something to be said for the sort of confidence and free thinking that doesn't require popular people to agree with you or unpopular people to disagree with you.

I missed the point. Unless it's that Krin has someone who's putting the argument together into a more condensed form for the rest of us, which is a good thing!

Generally Xavius flames Krin. It seems to be a "Krin is an idiot...unless he agrees with me" situation.
Well I found it funny.
Disclaimer: I'm not calling krin an idiot. He grammar scares me, but he's not an idiot.
