Try READing the post? I know it's long, but it's only a few pages back, at most.
Ildaudid2008-03-13 17:26:22
Excuse the
out of me for asking. I read that post, I didn't see the word flashpoint anywhere, which is why I asked. If you meant the fusion part. I noticed that, but I was worried that there was a major nerf to the flashpoints themselves.
Why do you have to be such an asshole all the time?

I think it's this part, Ildaudid:
Fusion isn't technically only to flashpoints but that's I guess what it's used most for.
QUOTE
- Fusion is now a delayed task, and:
... It will be interrupted if your ship moves or takes damage.
... It will cancel your ship's gliding to prevent accidental
interruption.

So far as I know the flashpoint nerf wasn't included in that post. People reported being unable to flash to Xion because "it's too far."
Xiel2008-03-14 00:30:15
The flashpoint tweak was the above stated and that you can't fuse to different areas of aetherspace without being in the same area. So, if you wanted to fuse to Xion from Prime like before, you can't now.
Gregori2008-03-14 00:38:11
Well then, time to change my flashpoints or just never use them anymore. Only having 3 was a joke to begin with, having them made useless now is even worse.
Pretty sure most people aren't going to spend 30 minutes flying to aetherbubbles for 20 minutes bashing.

Thanks you all for the info on it.
Yeah, I am not a huge fan of this. The flight to Xion is well over 30 minutes by normal means. And wow I am not sure if I logged off at Xion or not..... I wont be able to get home!!!!
So basically you have to waste a flashpoint to get close to xion then flashpoint again to xion if you want to go there? This nerf was a really bad one. Instead of giving everyone flashpoints, which seemed better. I think they just made some places in aetherspace pointless to bother going to.
I mean who is going to bother to defend the Elostian shrine on Xion now, if they can't get there? I guess that is a good thing and a bad thing. Good for non-elostian members, bad for elostian members. -shrug-
Xenthos, you are right. Commanders are about useless as the other aetherskills. But at least non commanders can fly a plane. I don't think commanders have a chance in hell at a gun or anything (% to hit wise)

It takes less than 10 minutes to get to Xion from prime.

How did you get there? I went with Sham and Revan or Thoros. And it took forever. Sham kept asking if we were there yet too. The only thing I can think of that may have made it slower was that we were in the fang (i think) or some other large ship. But it did take about 30 mins to get there.

That would explain it. Using a ship over the size of a couple of rooms to travel is not a good idea heh. Big ships are for aether hunting and aether battles. One room scouts are for getting from Point A to Point B. I was using a one room ship.

Yeah the ship I needed was stuck there, which is why we took big bertha. But we swore up and down never to take that ship that far again

Just got a chance to extensively use glide (finally got around to putting it in my piloting aliases) and it really is great. A very efficient way to get around.
Also, much thanks for the increased profit on spheres.

Yeah, I was stuck on Xion right after this was put in place, was rather inconvenient.

ANNOUNCE NEWS #1039

From: Morgfyre, the Legion
To  : Everyone
Subj: February Envoy Report
The envoys have been discussing Night Choke for a few months now, and
have floated several interesting suggestions that we have decided not to
implement for one reason or another. However, I do realize that in the
interim it can be frustrating to have to deal with avatar-level mobs
being choked, so I have implemented a temporary stop-gap measure until a
more permanent solution can be found:
    - You can no longer choke a room with an avatar-level mob
    - The same holds true for the Domoth thrones
Without further ado, here is the February envoy report:
- Mages and Druids have a new skill in meld: Dampen
- Dreamcatchers no longer decay
- Wiccan nymphs will not try to pacify shielded NPCs
- Mushroom circles can be summoned at nexi
- Moonburst and Nightkiss can be cast with 1 broken leg
- Puissance will not increase the damage of ripostes or coules
- Psychometabolism's Biocurrents has a slightly increased base damage
- Kata forms will terminate when you kill your victim
- Psychometabolism's Pheromones effect will occur more rapidly
- Music's Sustain is no longer considered aggressive
- WildArrane's Bluemoon now affects focusing body and spirit as well
- NPCs engaged in an ego battle will not wander
- Knighthood's Engage will throw the victim off-balance if it blocks
them from leaving
Enjoy!

It seems this includes the fae, too. Is that how it should be, or is that a mistake? I'm not complaining, as it certainly makes my life a bit easier as I've always been too lazy to nab a honeycomb, but it does sort of negate the use of the honeycake.
