** One of the new Astrology skills has been changed in name and function
minorly, please check the AB file for details. **
'A deadly meteor, if empowered by the zodiac energies of six or more negative spheres, will spell almost certain doom.'
There are only five negative spheres per day, so I guess you have to hope to fluke on papaxi. Makes sense.

Meteor hits one target. 0 power
Meteorstorm hits all enemies in the room. 10 power
You can get up to 4 negative spheres on a person, as the two squares will cancel eachother out. 5 if Papaxi is quincunx Sun and you get lucky. This will be true 3.33% of the time. 5 spheres are needed for an instakill, 4 will drop them to being one cosmicfire from death. You might be able to instakill someone with just 4 if Sun is conjunct BurningCenser.
It's strongest when Sun is conjunct BurningCenser and Papaxi is conjunct Glacier.
Very nice skill, overall.

On the basis that this is some kind of admin update to PK...
EDIT: Apparently it's a bug instead.

Not sure if they're really envoy changes, but what the heck:
Yay bonecrusher nerfs.

MUSIC DAMAGE
- The formula for damage from music has been somewhat changed so it now
relies on charisma as well as intelligence.
- Performing music now consumes ego rather than ego and intelligence.
- Vileblood has a new side effect--viscanti who hear this song receive a
+3 charisma buff
STUN CHANGE
- As you may know, there is a slight immunity period every time one is
stunned. This has now been increased to 50% of the time you were
stunned. In other words, if you were stunned for two second, for second
after you are stunned, you will be immune from being stunned again.
Also, you will receive messages to make it clear when you are immune and
not immune. (Note: stuns are measured in hundredths of seconds so your
immunity phase may pass extremely quickly as some stuns are of very
short duration, i.e., one second or less.)
RACE TWEAKS
- Shadowlords now receives +4 strength
- Illithoids should not lose their extra ego stores while logged off.
(It's actually been always like this but I wanted to confirm it.)
Penned by My hand on the 2nd of Roarkian, in the year 206 CE.

Hmm could anyone get damage tests of the effects of intelligence/charisma?
Xavius2008-05-18 20:47:36
The Shadowlord change is a typo, right?

No-- it was +3 racial, and now it's +4 instead (for a total of +1). At least, that's how I read it.
To that, I have to give a very heart-felt: Thank you!
Shamarah2008-05-18 20:51:58
Illithoid ego bonus is still going away on logout. (It's not that it decays while you're logged out, it's that you LOSE all of it instantly as soon as you log out.)

Did some testing with Rika, 1.6 seconds stun from knockdown. 2.5-2.6 seconds writhe time.
All in all, I like the changes to size. (that includes stun too).

Hazar2008-05-18 21:15:37
Remind me, again, what small-size races like faelings got out of these size changes?
By and large, as best I can read it, the size changes mean that it's nearly irrelevant to most people after you pass level fifty, except for Demigods, who can mess with their stats a bit.
So now, instead of it being a bit better to be small than to be big, it doesn't matter at all, and races like faelings relatively lost advantage.

Silvanus2008-05-18 21:16:29
The changes to size are weighted changes, so it doesn't effect it +1/-1 exactly, on your str/dex. At least that's how I understand it.
Krellan2008-05-19 00:37:59
Faelings can get an extra buff to strength? how isn't that helpful? Small size magic users can improve dex for stance/parry or go bigger for a minute amount of health
Shiri2008-05-20 10:08:01
So...it's too late for the racial changes, but what does DEX do for non-monks/non-warriors? We know it doesn't affect acro dodge (acro being the skill that gives most of it).
Does it have a significant effect on avoiding blows? It seems to me like if you aren't stancing an area you will NEVER dodge a blow unless they hit natural miss rate. If you are stancing an area, you'll dodge very often unless one of the factors that mean you don't come into play. Now I am not in a great position to judge this because as a mortal I had high furrikin dex and as demi I have the stat buffs and am a monk anyway, but it seems like you would only ever notice dex's effect on stancing if you had subpar dex to begin with. If anyone wants to test this they might find differently though.
So...is there some effect of dex I'm missing?
