Regardless.... 420 credits for 5% extra cutting/blunt resistance amidst the most taxing tradeskill around makes me depressed that I gave up my old tradeskill to take it up.

Don't forget those of us who bought a hammer. Tack on another 100 for that.

I still say forging should give experiance and karma. dribble.gif Moreso with this... upgrade?

Upgrade as in "Despite the fact that the forum was already filled with complaints about how awful the profession could be, we decided to go ahead and make it even crappier! We feel these changes will add a new dimension of challenge to the profession, and increase the revenues of local breweries and manic-drepressive help lines."

Don't worry.

Forging is under internal review.

lol

In other news going on 126 and a half hours working on this waraxe.. 9210 combines.

you know what the best part about forging is? You can't even use 95% of the designs because if it requires anything but metal it's prohibitively expensive to forge.. It'd cost me millions of gold to get a decent non-metal axe.

After some testing, I decided I like these changes. Good work admins. happy.gif
Simimi2008-07-14 08:35:21
What changed your mind? Do tell!

The first part of the knighthood changes. happy.gif

Right, one last question, is the new marked plate removed when forging is forgotten, if yes, BOO HISS, if so, screw forging a new set, time to get a new trade!
Ashteru2008-07-14 10:32:23
I knew why I switched to Nekotai.
Our PvP might suck, I am tanky as a paperbag, my guild's history gets deluded more and more, but....
Where did I want to go with that. Oh yeah. My GH > Your GH.
Neuf2008-07-14 10:53:36
I'll get over the stat nerf in time, though it was the only thing I had against these artie-whore knight wielding weapons..but...I know it's not going to happen often that someone will try to smelt their -old- fullplate now, BUT...

Former fullplate comms : "Masterarmour.......225-250" Mine was a total of 225 comms.

NOW my design : Commodities: iron 50 steel 50 silver 25

sad.gif my 100 comms. my wasted time... oh well.
Neuf2008-07-14 10:56:50
Actually, I might trade in my mallet. :S Learn other skills instead

Kidding right? My old spec plate was like 138/101 with coal.
Unknown2008-07-14 12:21:19
Considering this is after the changes, change of which meant all the old fullplate went to 90/90, and marking it only gives +10/10, I think that's pretty good, also that's fieldplate not fullplate, even if the design says different.

I understand, but I guess what I'm telling you is, you're barely achieving my old combo plate and at the same time you're getting greatrobes on the off-side.
Unknown2008-07-14 14:16:13
Yeah I know, but it's the best lopsided plate I had until now, fear my 110/70, which would be 127/87 fully marked and forging runed.

The point was people were saying the main reason for this change is that you cant get spec plate anymore, seeing as you're going to be stuck with only one marked plate, the whole 50% reserves is a bit ouch, but if you can forge normal field plate of this caliber, since most people will just stick to average mark'd plate of around 90/90 which is 107/107 marked and runed, you can still get plate like I have now which would be 117/77 un-marked and runed, which is still 10 points extra of resistance.

In honesty, I'm just feeling spiteful since this change really doesn't make any sense to me, so I'm just trying to be mean.
Karrack2008-07-14 14:22:59
hmm, so quick question: is there better stats then 90/90? for a balanced suit that is
Unknown2008-07-14 14:25:33
All old fullplate got smacked down to 90/90, which is the best balanced set I've seen, I had a 91/89, but I'm aiming for 91/91 right now, going to hop it up by one each time I get it.
Karrack2008-07-14 14:40:54
heh, i imagine that theres A LOT of angry forgers doing just that right about now...
