I'd name some names but...yeah , that's what I asked when I heard that a config option to show equ/balance times would be OP.
Unknown2008-09-30 01:21:02

Gregori2008-09-30 01:21:07
Can't remember if it is Imperian or Aetolia but one of them has it, and it is great.

How IS it OP? All we'd be doing is know just how long we'd be sitting there instead of...y'know...sitting there. We obviously already have the numbers ANYWAY, so somebody could stick it in a system. This would make it Public Domain.

The numbers we have aren't exact since they are affected by latency. The number displayed is how long it takes server side.

ANNOUNCE NEWS #1199
Date: 10/7/2008 at 20:26
From: Charune, the Horned One
To : Everyone
Subj: Envoy Report and Bugfixes
===Envoy Report===
o Base focus body time has been reduced by one second, but shortest time
kept the same. It means less time for those focusing with less
discipline but the same time for those with trans.
o The scorpions of the Scorpion Caves now carry anerod, mellitin,
mactans, and dendroxin poisons.
o The adoraths found in the Undervault can now be extracted for
mantakaya.
o Vomiting now has a chance to fire off balance and equilibrium use.
o Burstorgans and disembowel will not be cured by allheale.
o When in a Geomancer's duststorm you can no longer use MAP or PATH.
o MalignProphesy has been lowered in cost to 3p.
o Embrace Undeath (Lichdom, Necromancy) has been changed to only take as
much power as you currently have.
o Ghostwalk has been shortened in time for both seconds it takes to go
through and balance loss on arrival.
o Lifedrain will now recover small amounts of wounding when it fires.
=== Misc Fixes ===
o Queued stances won't try (and fail) to go off while on furniture.
o Splitting groups of herbs will show a more sensible message when the
groups are the same size.
o When Starleaper fades without being used, it won't look like it's
Enigma that's fading.
o More accurate and clearer error messages have been made in many
situations.
o Fixed a condition in which Hyperactive would stick around without
expiring.

Ragniliff claimed it was hers. I honestly don't remember which of you I first got it from, though I'm leaning that way-- I know she sent it to me in a tell at one point. Question is whether or not it was before you musing on Bell. Who knows!

Unknown2008-10-09 13:35:30
Synl mentioned it in passing, and I'm the one that said "No, wait, that IS a good idea. Let's try it!". So take that as you will.
The focus change has also been pretty nice.

If you want to get real technical, Serens have been suggesting it for longer than Synl has existed.
