do sap, channel, and nightmare not work if the target is awake?

- Healing Muscles will now also cure paralysis.

Oooooooooooooooooooooooooh.

And temperature, yeah, that's fire/frost vial stuff.
Shamarah2006-05-17 22:38:59
Good changes, I guess. Does that mean Healers can cure paralysis instantly now? That's pretty nice if so.

I'd imagine Temperature is for shivering/frozen and ablaze.

All the other stuff looks good too. Dreamweaving needed those commands, I imagine that'll be helpful for dreamweavers.

No, they don't. EDIT: Wait, hold up. Sap and channel do. Nightmare doesn't.
Ashteru2006-05-17 22:40:57
Sap and Channel ONLY work when the target is awake.
Shiri2006-05-18 00:47:22
Healing cures paralysis = awesome.
Magiclist shows decay times = double awesome.

The dreamweaving stuff = must be nice. tongue.gif

Nice round. happy.gif
Shamarah2006-05-18 00:49:52
Hm. So paralysis is useless against healers now.

About time Healing got useful. tongue.gif Now we just have to have poisonists immune to mantakaya as well...
Unknown2006-05-18 02:19:49
Woot! Thankyou, these changes are awesome! biggrin.gif

(I would have liked one or two more changes to go into dreamweaving/aethercraft... but these are probably the most important.)

Edit: Oh, and I think the intent behind the sap, nightmare and channel change is that they don't take willpower on fail, whether because the target is asleep or awake.

ANNOUNCE NEWS #569
Date: 5/17/2006 at 22:22
From: Lisaera, the Hallowed Crone
To : Everyone
Subj: Envoy Report Changes

Some more report-requested or inspired changes.

- Discernment Magiclist will now show the number of months left until
the items decay.
- I found a bug in Healing Nervous while poking around in Healing,
though it wasn't included in the envoy reports. Essentially it boiled
down to the fact that it never had a chance to cure hemiplegy or pierced
limbs, but it's now been fixed so it will cure those properly.
- In an Aethership, all GRID commands apart from GRID REPAIR are now
able to be used while the ship is docked.
- There is a new command for those joined to a Ship channel, or locked
into a module - GRID WHO. It will show all others locked into modules on
the ship or joined to the ship channel.

Penned by My hand on the 18th of Tzarin, in the year 147 CE.

This can be discribed in one smilie: wub.gif

- Discernment Magiclist will now show the number of months left until
the items decay. Nice, although I don't have it. tongue.gif
- Healing Muscles will now also cure paralysis. *faints* AWESOME!!!!
- Healing Blood will now absorb the bleeding of the target into the
curer as well as curing a blood-related affliction. Useful to us empaths of the body! Yay!
- Healing has a new ability called Temperature to cure the symptoms of
extreme high or low temperatures. Clarification would be nice...
- I found a bug in Healing Nervous while poking around in Healing,
though it wasn't included in the envoy reports. Essentially it boiled
down to the fact that it never had a chance to cure hemiplegy or pierced
limbs, but it's now been fixed so it will cure those properly. A few hours before the change was made I was thinking "Hey, healers can't cure pierced limbs." This is awesome!
- Dreamweaving changes look nice, although I can't say.
- There is a new command for those joined to a Ship channel, or locked
into a module - GRID WHO. It will show all others locked into modules on
the ship or joined to the ship channel. Sweet!

Yay!

EDIT: I just realised Temperature was added really low in Healing, so I had it all along. tongue.gif

AB HEALING TEMPERATURE
Syntax: CURE TEMPERATURE
This will cure the symptoms caused by extremely hot or cold
temperatures, such as being on fire, frozen or shivering.

I'm curious. Now that divert costs 50% maxego, has any telepath written a instakill trigger for those who divert them during aggressive influence? biggrin.gif (Not that influences are ever aggressive these days >_<)
Murphy2006-05-19 07:22:36
Now shorlen that is just silly. Why would you even consider influencing a mob while you aren't in sanctuary and in the presence of a hostile enemy who's trying to kill you. That is rediculous
Unknown2006-05-19 07:37:01
You could force an influence attack in battle though, couldn't you?
ferlas2006-05-19 07:45:12
Not in a peaced room.

You can, through other skills they have access to, on their channels. All they need to do is carry around a pilgrim/scholar that their friend has started an influence battle with.

Walk in, force divert, instakill.

It really needs to be looked into(it's even worse then their newly buffed health/mana/ego attack), and I hope during the second summit it's changed, making divert unforceable might be good enough to do it.

Athana's commented on just that combo as well. Either about testing it, or not wanting to use it as it's just lame, something along those lines.
Revan2006-05-19 08:02:23
Tested, it doesn't wor. You need to be 1 point below 50% to be instakilled
ferlas2006-05-19 09:31:49
And on that subject get in line necromancers have been waiting so that they don't get one hit insta killed for ages.

Ah, okay.

And I know I walked into unpeaced rooms, diverted, and ran all the time tongue.gif
Unknown2006-05-19 16:03:02
Yes! Now Faethyr can actually do useful stuff when dreamwalking!

Though you really should be able to use racial abilities as well while in dreamform.
