As I understand it, dexterity
1) Affects the rate at which warriors can give out warrior afflictions, and
2) Affects stance/parry rate.
With low combat, dex won't really help much anyways. If you don't stance / parry, it won't help either.

I'm not sure I understand either of those. Does 1) mean reduced balance time? Does 2) mean how often those helpful? Going to a new stance is immediate.

1) No. When a warrior swings at you, there is an RNG that determines what affliction is given. Dex affects this roll.
2) Um, yes. Stance / parry are not 100% effective (never are), but dex modifies how effective they are to an extent. However, if you're not stancing or parrying, the blow's going to hit you. Excepting for the natural miss rate, but that's on the warrior's end, not yours.

I edited my post with the benefits, to add the dexterity information.

Well, I took the statement regarding blocking better to mean parry, though it seems clear now that it meant the blocking skill.
Esano2009-11-10 02:14:09
Blocking (the skill, and assuming not 'firm') compares the size of the person who is blocking and the person trying to get past; a higher size both helps you block and helps you get past others' blocks.

Updated benefits post to include blocking resistance.

It's still not intended to (I asked when it was approved). It's just increasing damage to those it can hit (undead), if they are affected by the Heretic line. The "hit everyone" part was rejected.
I find this amusing because I was told the exact opposite of this by the Furies when I asked about it. They said Radiance was indeed going to effect even non-undead targets suffering under Heretic.

Then the Celestines are pretty much just as one trick as they have been, the hitting everyone was the goal, not in addition to.
Our envoy has failed again, bravo.
Why are Celestines the cripples of Lusternian combat? I had the potential to kill 90% of Lusternia as a monk with 1 trans skill, now I need 5 to have my options and I still cant do damage as was the whole purpose of the change.
For those trying to count skills....
1-3) guild skills
4) Discernment for contemplate to try to absolve
5) Trans discipline so you get power back fast enough to inquisition.

I think IRE priest-type guilds just have some curse on them or something. Aetolia's equivalent has the same suckiness issues. And Achaea's...well, that's a different type of suckage that goes on there.
Razenth2009-11-10 04:10:12
Don't tell me they molest little boys!?

I blame our envoy, otherwise I have to blame the furies.
Was it so imbalancing for Radiance to be functional and give us another option with over 10 power in setup (inquisition)?
Since it does not seem to be that influential I have to assume it was not properly delivered to the divine.

Yeah, don't let him fool you. You didn't miss any stealth Celestine downgrades.

Oh, hey, and here I almost forgot to ask: could folk PM me the new AB's for Runes' Fuse, Dreamweaving's Embed, and the short and long AB's for the new Tracking ability? Being told what skill the new ability comes after would be a plus too.
Darn skewl getting in the way of my updates.

What exactly is the new tracker skill, anyways? I'm assuming it's just flavour that let's you see if a mob has an extractable poison or not, but I don't know for sure!

They're all up on the Lusternian Lore wiki.

I lol'd.
Look, there is an entry for combat in Lusternia. Compared to Imperian, it is larger here than it is there. However, by no means are Celestines 'useless' at all. You have investable vapors, Soulless, Inquisition. Those three alone make you a viable weapon. I can't really say I've fought many frightening Celestines, but Razenth seems to be the most capable out of all of the ones I've fought. Don't count your class out just because you're not killing high tier people off the bat.
