It's a good week to be a sacraments user.

The light sure is "glorious". Gloriously glorious, even. Who's writing this crap?

You should know this already

Subj: Demesne Report + Bugs

=== Demesne Report ===

o Saplings must now be removed to change terrain between forest types
instead of doubling the time if left in place previously.

o The message of Hartstone and Blacktalon melding is now different for
each.

o Paranoia will make all others enemies, not just allies.

o Mirage (Phantasms) now takes power equivalent to one plus the size of
the demesne divided by four.

o The minimum demesne size for Phantomsphere (Phantasms) to work is now
three.

o Phantomspheres now require four instead of five for instant death, and
the detonate damage has been scaled to reflect this as well.

o The transcendent druid/mage abilities no longer remove demesne
effects.

o New ability in Aquamancy - Tidalwave - replaces Currents.

=== Bug Fixes ===

o The powerlog summary now reflects some additional Glomdoring totems.

o Casting timeslip when already active will alert the person rather than
recast.

o The libraries no longer list non-prestige books as prestige.

o Beast breath attacks are now fully visible.

o Several untrapped errors and typos have been fixes.

Enjoy!

Phantomsphere upgrade looks pretty sick, does that mean that two spheres will deal 50% maxhealth now?

And do you guys think we might start seeing the return of the trans mage skills in groups now that they no longer remove effects?
Xiel2010-02-08 00:49:19
They STILL haven't added/removed the discrepancy between Pollute and all the mage/druid fury things since right now, Pollute is the only one made affected by magic damage boosting runes while the others don't. sad.gif

QUOTE
Inferno Unleash the unforgiving rage of elemental fire.
Syntax: UNLEASH STAFF
Power: 10 (Eternal Flame)
Damage Type: 100% Fire
Damage Source: Magical
By releasing an inferno, you demonstrate the most intense and potent powers of the Elemental Plane of Fire. Bonfires will form throughout your demesne, growing into pyres and then blazing infernos that will seek out and consume your personal enemies. You must wield your staff and be at full mana to invoke such a spectacle.

QUOTE
Cyclone Unleash the awesome power of elemental air.
Syntax: UNLEASH STAFF
Power: 10 (The Matrix)
Damage Type: 50% Electrical, 50% Blunt
Damage Source: Magical
By releasing a cyclone, you demonstrate the most intense and potent powers of the Elemental Plane of Air. An enormous cyclone will roll throughout your demesne, intent on destroying your personal enemies. You must wield your staff and be at full mana to invoke such a spectacle.

So it's now 3 affected, 3 not.

EDIT: Not that it needs to be fixed, but it seems the discrepancy is more likely to be fixed by making them all affected rather than none, if they're introducing new skills with magic source.

I pointed this out to Lehki. Report 118 has been waiting for over a year now and every time I asked Charune said "Yep it will get dealt with" after 6 months of asking I just gave up.

Subj: Envoy Reports - January 2010

o Starlight(Starhymn)'s former effects have been combined with
Processional into that skill. Starlight has been changed - please see
its AB.

o Avatar aura now healths health, mana, and ego rather than curing a
random affliction.

o Wolf(Totems) now has a 20% chance not to work in blocking fear.

o If an arm or leg is already amputated, the chance of having the other
amputated in a Pyromancer demesne is incredibly diminished now.

o The timer for Choke(Night) weakening upon changing rooms has been
shortened

o Having a shadow stolen from a person boosts Lash(Night)'s drain.

o Blanknote(Music) can now remove shields on mobs.

o Full(Moon) now adds a five-second prismatic barrier after use.

Enjoy!

Umm...mini-TH ahoy? Still questioning that fearaura bit which people will probably end up talking about after me, so I'll leave that to them. I do envy bards for their speed(-ier) bashing considering blanknote > other caster shield removal.
Kante2010-02-17 17:23:29
I'm glad to see that they did something about Wolf.

It's always been quicker for me to just let them hit me. If I ever tried to Nullify, they just recast the shield before I get eq unless I'm balanced when they shield. Is BlankNote fast enough to matter?
Unknown2010-02-17 17:38:51
Interesting boost to Full. I take it that works no matter what phase the moon is in, or is it only 5 seconds long when the moon is actually full?

I just checked the code.

Turns out after all of these years, the AB files were miswritten. ALL of the trans demesne abilities are None-sourced (as in, non-magical, so the only difference between all of them is damagetype. I'll be looking into addressing issues w/ Fury and RoA.
Arte2010-02-17 17:41:57
Ooh. Does that mean they'll also be getting damage boosts based on our intelligence?

Blanknote, unless I'm remembering incorrectly, is comparable to raze? Far less than Nullify or Void for other casters. And I, too, find it faster for them to just hit me again rather than attempt to strip the shield.

I'm also curious about the length of time on that prismatic in relation to the moon phase as well as the new AB's for StarLight/Processional (nudgenudgeCantorpeople).

Oh, and if Sior is right, then none of the Fury-type abilities are boosted by a magic rune then? If so, I need to tweak my AB's. ohmy.gif

Magic-sourced would mean intelligence boosts damage output. I think we'll keep none-sourced, for all of them.

5 seconds regardless at present. Curing is dependent on moon phase. ABs up.

Correct.

Oh, also, how short a period between the separation of Night caster and target for the choke to drop now?

You'll have to do some testing. It still exists but it's shorter than before. There's a random factor in it too so I suggest testing around with it.

We did a (very) short test with it, and I think 2-5 seconds or so. Look me up IG if you want a testing dummy; I'm good at that at least tongue.gif

Should be much less than this. It was never this high.

It looks more like half a second to a second from what I've seen.

Are we getting warmer?
