Do the Symbols give you access to all the afflictions of that particular Supernal/Demon Lord? Or just one?
I think it's all, but you can only afflict with the symbol one at a time. Just for one Supernal/Demon Lord though.
Soll2006-05-22 21:37:41
Any of the five afflictions, but only from the Supernal/Demon Lord of the Symbol.
Torak2006-05-22 22:00:53
Managed to get my symbol and it makes a huge difference bashing
Very happy about it all round.

ANNOUNCE NEWS #573
Date: 5/23/2006 at 3:23
From: Lisaera, the Hallowed Crone
To : Everyone
Subj: Envoy Report Changes
- Angels using the Weakness power should now actually afflict the target
with weakness.
- Celestialism Wrath and Nihilism Scourge have been changed so that when
the double-attack is used, the two attacks will always be different
powers, unless there is only one power invested. The attacks may still
both be from the same set though, and so may look the same.
- Loyal Angels and Demons will now be immune from critical hits.
- Celestialism has a new ability called Angelcloak, and Nihilism an
ability called Demoncloak, for the purposes of cloaking the movement of
their minions.
- Tarot Fool, when active, will now show the number of masked flings
left in DEFENCES.
- Hermit Tarot cards can now once again be flung while others are in the
room.
- Inscribing Tarot cards will no longer use up paint applications if you
are off balance, or don't have enough mana.
Penned by My hand on the 18th of Estar, in the year 148 CE.

Hmm...Fae aren't crit-resistant, but angels and demons are? ![unsure.gif](style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif)

Guardians only get one angel or demon. Killing that one angel or demon knocks out the entire skillset.
Compare to wiccans who have large entourages of fae and can call multiple fae.
I think its fair.

Yeah, but if you kill an angel (which takes say 8 attacks) they can resummon it instantly. If you kill a Fae every hit or two you have to summon them back one at a time, so unlike with a guardian you can basically cripple a Wiccan's entire offence that way since you can kill them almost faster than they can be summoned back.
I guess it's ok as people don't actually use that as a combat tactic, it gets really lame when they do though.
EDIT: Not too major though. oh well.

What stops hermit tarot? I'm assuming monolith, what else?

Can champion pets still be affected by criticals please? That Handmaiden can even tank one of my obliterating criticals ![sad.gif](style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif)

yea, crit resistant champion pets are going overboard.
Icarus2006-05-23 04:03:20
I just think that champion artifacts should go, or greatly reduced in effectiveness in combat but has more unique utilities like RESCUE. So they carry a symbolic meaning rather than a huge advantage in combat.

Make the champ pets into champion steeds....giving them the rescue ability.
i'd love to ride that handmaiden around all day, she's actually not bad looking.

At least we don't have stormhammer here. I couldn't keep an entourage, Sentinel vs. Mage. One hammer killed half of them.
The problem is that fae aren't that terribly great of an offense. Pixie, banshee, crone, and brownie are the only overtly offensive fae we have. Pixie is easily taken care of unless the dancer is really laying on the sleep hexes, banshee isn't terribly powerful, brownie doesn't really do all that much. Crone is nice, but it's nothing really great, a lot of times.
I like my fae, and we have a decent offense. But if you crit a few times, I either lose a big part of my offense, or waste power and time summoning new ones. It's not that fast. Warriors can kill two at once, if they crit often enough. And last I heard, fae aren't that tough at all. Angels already vastly outranked them, I believe.
I dunno, I just can't buy the "well, you have more" argument.

Agreed, this has been brought up multiple times by a number of Envoys. Champion staves should simply lose its current damage boost. Cham helms shouldn't have any combat bonuses and Champion pets should act like artifact pets but without any afflicting abilities. This would go a long way towards balancing Lusternian combat.

They should still be criticalable, only actual companions and thralls should be immune now.
