Patience... yes.... I just hope it isn't 6 months of patience..... since their is a fine line between biding one's time and wasting one's time.

I just want to say I am incredibly dissapointed at the EXTREMELY clear oversight of pureblades, axelords, and runes as well (which I don't know so clearly) We currently have nothing, I repeat NOTHING that should be able to kill a decent combatant unless we have uber swords/axes runed with a champ helm, and even then it's more difficult than I would expect a non-champ helmed warrior to be. How can you leave us out to dry? I have been patiently waiting for you gods to make some change to balance out the COMPLETE AND UTTER nerf you gave us, but apparently I was wrong in believing you would listen to the pleas of those who know best about PB and AL combat, Daevos, Ildaudid, and a few others including myself. What must we do to make it so you all can change things in moderation instead of going over the top and completely overcompensating? I know Diamante's only argument against my complaints to him about our innefectiveness was that we would be revisited in this envoy, which didn't happen. Now I am completely and utterly disgusted that we are left to be a useless class and am going inactive for a while...

Runes need love. For 2 power, as a Hexen, I get double, masked, afflictions, and am able to choose from a much wider and more useful array of them. For 2 power, Runists get two unmasked runes. They have to pay for them (and goldink isn't all that cheap), and don't have all that many to choose from.
Now, yes, Runes are ranged, and if they had anorexia or something demesnes would be freaking nasty, but they need -something-. Outside a demesne, Runes suck.

Shamarah2006-05-31 23:18:09
The problem isn't that runes suck outside of a demesne. That's fine; the only tertiary skill that's not meant to suck outside of a demesne is psionics. The problem is that they suck even INSIDE a demesne.
Sylphas2006-05-31 23:21:11
Ecology isn't all that bad outside a demesne, and Dreamweaving, while it's not going to kill anyone decent, is still useful.

Mentrenthon? If you want crappy pact abilities, look no further than Ashtorath.
pacts
Ashtorath, Duke of Inescapable Damnation
* Impatience, loneliness, recklessness, flame, crunch
BTW, 'crunch' breaks a random limb. It can target limbs that have already been broken, though, making it pretty worthless. One of the envoy suggestions was that crunch should only target healthy limbs, but no dice.

Impatience is good. So is Recklessness. And I would enjoy having crunch. Those would be nice for Methrenton's, but no. We have.
pledges
Methrenton, Crusader of the Holy Flame
* Sensitivity, bleeding, justice, pox, flame
Sensitivity. Can be nice. Only plus for Methrenton.
Bleeding - Woot. 20 bleeding.
Justice. Yay? - I'd say that's a Shakiniel power, anyway.
Pox. Maybe.
Flame. Ugh.

most pledges only have one or two really useful skills, but then you can only invest 1 or 2 per pledge you have, so, it's okay!

Indeed, and seeing as you can(as your skill increases) bond with all 5 to your minion, individual suckiness of some powers doesn't matter, you just pick and choose which ones you want. (So everyone just picks the best powers.)
Edit:And if anyone is complaining about symbols they need to have their heads looked at. The ability to deal damage and afflict at the same time, with the same skill, is a very powerful one.

Oh well you dont have to take it if you dont want to though there are other options, I do agree that you may want to go about nerfing the vapors one to try and get that one upgraded.
Sylphas2006-06-01 01:06:58
Seems like the main complaint is RP based. You deepbond with one Supernal, and can use one of their powers with Symbol, right? With those powers, it's no wonder no one picks Methrenton.
ferlas2006-06-01 01:16:01
Yea but they have one thats overpowered for and one thats below average , as I said go about nerfing the overpowered one and ask for a rebalancing of them all next envoy so that they are all equally useful.

Both impatience and recklessness are good afflictions.
Here's a free combat tip, try stacking impatience and anorexia on someone in aeon, impatience is cured by focus mind first and i think 50/50 from smoking coltsfoot.
Recklessness is just sweet to trick their mana, and a nice affliction in general.

Is this what sun ray has been increased to or is it not working properly? Not too worried either way, just wondering.

it used to be doing like less than 100.
