I lost 2 CHA - I was using throne/karma blessing/netzach. I won't have as much ego available for using forcefield to bash.
A question - I still kept my 20 int. Because I have a +2 buff, is my int effectively lower now?

Wait....does this affect titan/Demigod buffs to?
As in, when you get Demigod, you have the EXACT same stats as a Titan, just weighed more towards three?

Warriors just got the shaft. We can't do damage, our strength was lowered, thus wounding being lowered. WTF?
I could kick two, maybe three penguins right now.

No. This is grounds for (finally) being able to start balancing warriors, I think.
Acrune2006-06-16 21:44:54
Yeah, would be nice. I understand the stat thing now though. Going to miss my 20 cha. Oh well. As long as everyone else is weaker too ![tongue.gif](style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif)

...Balancing? O.o Hell, I can tank all warriors. And if not, I can just run, not like they could hinder me...

I still had/have a hard time dealing with constant hindering from mage/guardian classes and other warriors probably have issues with it too. With our wounding/damage being lowered, what are we, chopped liver?

Yeah, this hurts the obscenely powerful warriors the most, so the whole class can get an upgrade without pushing the best warriors into immortality.

ANNOUNCE NEWS #581
Date: 6/16/2006 at 21:43
From: Roark Libertas
To : Everyone
Subj: Damage Source
It was discovered that some skills had their damage source value altered
incorrectly. These have been corrected. The result is that you might
notice some change in the amount of damage you do for certain abilities.
I can't really list which ones because I did not keep a running tally of
the specific skills, but most of them were magical in nature, like
Nature's curse spell, for example.
Penned by My hand on the 8th of Estar, in the year 150 CE.
The other announce has also lowered Mindblast damage.![chin.gif](style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/chin.gif)

I must say that unless warriors get a massive series of upgrades in the immediate future, I doubt Ixion and many other warriors will be around much longer, period. The change to stats buffs is a truly disheartened one.
During day:
Stats Lost for Ixion:
Strength -1
Charisma -2
Constitution -1
During night:
Stats Lost for Ixion:
Strength -2
Intel (w/ fortuna) -1
Charisma -2
Constitution -1
No removal/cure to enfeeble? Stack an uncurable -1 str that lasts like a half hour- hour on top of the losses.
Understand that you have effectively nerfed warriors into an even darker and deeper oblivion, and made a major part of achieving titan/demigod worthless. (Note: I am not a titan yet) I can only empathize for the ones who are already titans/demigods.
Edit: Let's not forget how blessings are geared towards Intel users. Knowledge blessing is +2 int. There is NO + str karma blessing, and war karma stacks with knowledge. Yet another example of how warriors are ridiculously disadvantaged.

A major part of going Titan/Demigod? So.. Thunderclap, Haven, Regeneration, Divinefire, Auto-resurrection, custom shout, size alteration, and the ability to become an Avatar aren't the major ones? I really don't feel this downgrades Titans/Demigods very much. It works towards making them less overpowered, too.

Lowered? I thought it was being raised? Nature curse is/was incredably weak, it used to take two hits for a trans wicca drawdown'ed high elfen to kill a weevil.
Also, lets get confirmation from a titan or demigod before jumping to conclusions, since racial bonuses aren't effecting it titan/demi stats might not either.

Sorry, but no. There is no +2 int skill, unlike Flex. No +1 int skill, like Bear and Gedulah. You have your +2 strength ability, we have ours. We have to pay a huge amount of karma to upkeep ours~; yours is a free defence after a small number of lessons.

Due to Charisma buffs resulting in less actual charisma gain. Though, they may have levelled off, or perhaps have increased, from Roark's second post. I cannot tell, as I do not have tests from before the change.

Learn about the titan/demi abilities before commenting.
I'm not going to explain each one to you, but they have drawbacks and in some cases can actually hurt you severely.
Also, tclap is to be removed.
Edit: Soll, warriors needed help before the change. What makes you think that in any way this is not a major and further nerf for warriors, since EVERYTHING (damage, wounds, certain stuns) about a warrior depends mainly on strength. There is a reason that the vast majority of people who are knowledge about warriors are in agreement that this hurts warriors even more, and that such makes them even further underpowered.

Already did, and I like to confirm things or be sure before posting.
Daevos can post himself, however, so I will not regurgitate his words here.

I know about the titan/demi abilities. I know they have drawbacks, and the ability to hurt themselves severly. Tclap I can give you, if it's being removed. Let's wait until we get into the changes to buffs, though, before we say that archetypes have been utterly nerfed. -2 may just mean that the fight goes on slightly longer, and that would seem fine to me (Though, perhaps warriors need another way to hinder. Perhaps.) as not all battles should be over within a few minutes.

However, this change will bring down any overly high damage and wounding, thus making the class as a whole easier to reassess, and change to be more balanced - whether through perceived upgrades or downgrades. It's just diminishing the gap between top warriors, and new warriors, which means there's a lower deviation and thus skills will have less of a difference in effect between people who use them. This makes it easier to work with.

How is lowering the power of titan/demis a bad thing? I've always thought rewarding people for mindless bashing was a silly idea to begin with.

That pains me to see. Utterly. Damage warriors do not exist anymore, for obvious reasons, namely being nerfed to hell.
See also, damage posts by many people. Ferlas, as a furrikin or a faeling, could tank my damage UNHINDERED. Next?
Shamarah2006-06-16 22:27:07
Damage warriors still own non-titan non-superhighlevel mages who aren't using psionic defs (and thus crippling their channels).
