That's a good point. Warriors now have a defence against Enfeeble, in a way. (though, for city warriors it costs power)
That is if that is how it works, has anyone tested the negative side of the spectrum, like I asked TDF's, enfeeble, ar negatives working with weight too now? Or only positives?
Vix2006-06-17 01:28:44
It SHOULD. Otherwise, that would be an oversight. Why change positives while not changing negatives? There aren't that many negatives anyways... Let's see... lich during the day, astrology spheres, disfavours, enfeeble... That's all I can think of right now.

I don't think the Divine would be quite that cruel.. (Negative astrology spheres would become godly, and Enfeeble is already an issue)

I dunno if it should be expected, though. Buffs relate only to positive increases of something. Penalties are negative, while modifiers would be neutral. If they had said 'Stat modifiers are changed to...' I would most definately expect that both positive and negative would be affected. In this case, they were specific to the positive aspects. One can hope that it is indeed an oversight, but its impossible to say, unless we get confirmation in the form of tests or Divine guidance from the almighty powers above, that have absolute control of our very souls!

I would assume they said buffs because that's what it was designed to fix, what are by far the most common, and what the majority of the impact would be upon, but it's unlikely that the same exact system doesn't handle any sort of stat modifier, and would therefore be changed when they tinkered with it.

I love this change! This is exactly what I thought the problem was when people complained about 'buffs'... the % health stuff never really bothered me that much.

It's not +10% health that's an issue. It's 10% + 15% + 33% + 20% type magic damage resistance.
Unknown2006-06-17 03:29:22
Resistances are also an issue, but a good solution to that was posed at the second summit, not the first.

I both love and hate this stat change, so I'm not to sure it was the right direction to go.
They should have made it only apply to strength and charisma... yea, that would have been good.

Gah, it's said that it's an experimental change.
And even if it stays, stop whining everyone (not directed at those who were not whining in the first place). Take some beating with the nerf stick like men and harden the f*** up.

I don't like this change. *shrug* Makes bashing pointless now. Or getting buffs like throne. Or herofete if you are buffed already. Or any favours. And so on and so on.
Sorry, but I really hope this gets removed again.

Stagar - whose ego was broken? Not mine for sure.
