The waters in your demesne will seeth and roil around your personal

Makes me wonder if going hardcore and making a auto-hold breathe script would save my #&* someday. doh.gif

Aww, Fury is 100% cutting tongue.gif That's so much better.

What, you expected druids to not get shafted when it comes to damage type?
Ixion2006-06-22 13:18:23
Yeah how dare anything be 100% cutting..

Just like Blademasters..

Just like Axelords...

Just like Pureblades....

It would be nice if haymaker was even close to on par with unleashing the staff (maelstrom).

Last time I got hit with it, it did about 3700 out of 6k or so health. (Through a proof against one of the damage types)
Sylphas2006-06-22 14:35:58
It would make more sense to compare Druids with Mages, who get very nice damage types, instead of warriors, who are completely different.
Unknown2006-06-22 16:00:23
it'd be nice if Fury at least caused a helluva lot of bleeding. Then the crap damage type would have some positive aspect.

Elryn, envoy this.
Sylphas2006-06-22 17:49:32
That would rock. Have it do 500 damage and 1k bleeding or something.
Unknown2006-06-22 17:51:51
Actually, considering the Mage ones do like 3k+, I'd say have it do 1.5k health and 1k bleeding.

And maybe have Blacktalon's do some mana damage.
Sylphas2006-06-22 17:55:24
1k bleeding is a pretty hellish mana drain.

Ten bucks says that's equal to or more than Maelstrom would do.
Sylphas2006-06-22 18:02:38
He may have been talking about Maelstrom, since he did say he was proofed against one of the damage types, and Fury only has one, and you can't get a cutting proof, really, just armor.
Unknown2006-06-22 18:12:32
Christ, that's enough to kill me in one hit and I'm level 70 - and Master Viscanti are a bit tanky. That seems too powerful, that anyone who isn't uber tanky or in the mid 70's or higher is instantly killed. Use it, have two others toss out some hailstorms, bam, battle over.
Soll2006-06-22 18:14:07
Of course, Maelstrom is percentage based so you wouldn't take 3.7k health, Guido. Also, Fury/Maelstrom/Geothingy all remove demesne effects when cast, so if it doesn't kill you, the mage is generally screwed.
Sylphas2006-06-22 18:19:19
They could be a nice alternate finish if you don't want to go for Sap, though (for a druid, of course). Stack a bit of bleeding for some damage, then blast them with Fury. It's how I killed Malicia over on test.

I still imagine that a trans mage hit coupled with two other people boulderblasting or hailstorming could decimate most groups if performed in the middle of a fight.
Soll2006-06-22 18:55:39
Then people might finally have to back away when Mages or Druids use their Transcendent skill, instead of it being the joke it's been for a long time. You know, it's meant to be the most supreme amount of power we can muster, so I would hope it's quite powerful. And you could just shield through it, heal up the maelstrom, and ignore the hailstorms/boulderblast/staff points.
Sylphas2006-06-22 18:57:12
It's power has never been a joke, just the cost vs reward of it was ABOMINABLE.

With 3.2k-ish health, it doesn't instakill me. Did like 2.5k damage to me, I think.
