See....humans have 600 health more than faelings. And no level 2 awesome sip or fast balance...

Show me you can walk faster up Avechna's Peak than you can sprint.

Show me that you can walk faster (without using rifts) to all villages than you can sprint along the highways/mountains.

Tell me how many abilities can follow a sprinter.

I often wonder about you because your rationale is always so "unique." Why would anyone waste time using an ability that consumes balance when on average they could walk (which is a lot easier, takes less effort, and is faster unless moving over 3 rooms in a given direction) faster?

As for abilities to follow a sprinter, pacing would be the only one. Who cares? No person can chase me "walking" any easy than they can chase me "sprinting" because in either instance, if they attack me, they will lose balance/equilibrium at which point I can then move losing them. There is no real "combat function" because if someone follows you, you sprint in a given direction... they are likely to be able to WALK to you before you recover balance.

As for the "show me" garbage, I'm not going to waste my time. If you cannot grasp that unless someone is moving 4 or more rooms in a given sprint that they are losing time based upon a log that shows you can walk 3 rooms faster than you can sprint, there is no point.

I have to agree that the changes to Knight aren't what I expected. They got nerfed... ALOT. I feel bad for you guys sad.gif I hope that they add in some extras for you guys

Stag still has uses, the balance makes it harder to use sprint to by-pass guards but it still is useful for doing so in a lot of cases.

- Behead has been changed so that it is now possible ONLY by using the normal HACK DOWN attack.

I dont really like this change, it kind of makes haymaker useless compared to other things. Also what upgrades are pureblades and axelords going to get now, it seems they have almost no way to get a behead on people.

Be aware the surge change wasn't actually meant as a downgrade, it was suggested in the light that it would make warriors less vulnerable to instant absolve/wrack/toadcurse, and was evaluated in that context.

However, this is the reason we're going to have another envoy summit after all the changes are done, and besides that as I said in the announce, Knighthood is getting specially looked at beyond the normal report changes.
Daganev2006-04-26 17:31:11
I want to know which warriors that never play the game anymore suggested these changes....

Things I'm mad about... Wind, Sprint, Crush, Surge...

things I'm happy about... everything not affecting Bonecrushers, and Headslam.

Better way to make them less vunerable to instant mana kills is to remove the mana drain I would think.
Ashteru2006-04-26 17:31:58
Actually, I don't mind crush or sprint or all that THAT much.
Only thing I am not happy about is surge.
I mean, what warrior fights wiccans or guardians with surge up anyway?
Surge is purely for bashing or warrior vs. warrior or warrior vs. mage combat.

That's 2/3 of the game.

And it's a 50% mythical skill. From what I remember, those are supposed to be very strong?

Tell that to AB ILLUSIONS MANSE laugh.gif
Ashteru2006-04-26 17:39:13
You get a skill that puts you at level 76 ( 10 levels lower than me) on 500 ego less (with throne/beauty/highmagicskill) compared to my health. And it doesn't cost a friggin point of power.
Terenas2006-04-26 17:42:31
Well, those are some nice changes. Knights got shafted quite a bit but you can't blame me, they scrapped my Envoy report so it's really Diamante and the other current warrior envoys to blame. tongue.gif

I'm curious about Behead as being hack down only though. Does that apply to Haymaker as well as Pulp since those are still blockable by everything that a normal swing does. It was only the problem with Assault/Sweep that needed addressing.
Daganev2006-04-26 17:44:48
Pulp is a jab
Thorgal2006-04-26 17:57:15
I'm anxious to see the vast upgrades needed to balance out the behead change, implemented.

Pulp is a jab

Umm, no. It's main advantage is that even though it's targetable like jab, it gives swing afflictions, like bashbrain or blackeye.
Terenas2006-04-26 17:59:55
No, it's not. It's a double swing as many people have Bashed Brain with it before.

Behead should still be doable with Haymaker, that was the only saving grace to the skill and no one complained when it was done by a Blademaster, only against Axelords or Pureblades.
Daganev2006-04-26 18:00:50
Syntax: PULP
Power: 8 (Any)
You will cause more deep wounds and increase your chance of specialty results with this targetted attack aimed to turn your opponent into pulp. This counts as a jab
Ashteru2006-04-26 18:01:39
ab files say jab, but it's a swing.

I think I bashbrained Rakor with it once, not sure.
Terenas2006-04-26 18:05:58
AB files have often been wrong. Slit throat affliction was listed as doable by Jab for ages and guess what, it was only doable by Swings. I have seen enough people get bash brain by Pulp to know that it's not a Jab, Daganev.

If the change to Behead but not Bash Brain that is seriously messed up.
Daganev2006-04-26 18:12:21
I can not count the number of conversations I have had with envoys about pulp...

I mean, Pulp has been listed as a jab since beta, I bring it up every envoy report. Pulp seems to do some jab afflictions and bashbrain, but none of the other swing afflictions... so who knows.

Also, what other method do Blademasters have to do a behead besides hack down? I don't believe axelords get bashbrains.
