Yea it is sad to see it when fighting another player but it sucks seeing it when fighting NPC's knowing full well if you were a mage/cosmic you would not miss sad.gif
Unknown2006-07-12 01:13:34
Why do warriors need to miss at all when bashing? No other class gets critical fails, and I'm fairly sure even without the misses they wouldn't be -that- much better against mobs. If they are better than other classes, just tune down the damage. But missing doesn't seem necessary, in my opinion anyway. dunno.gif
Roark2006-07-12 01:44:22
That is possibly a bug. By my account, the most a two-hander should get is two misses in a row, and that should be about a 1 in 400 chance of every happening. That change to warriors only worked for those that were trans, though I am seeing some cases where it will also get ignored under various obscure conditions, like a divine disfavour that makes you less than trans, clumsiness affliction, a really small opponent, etc. I'll look to see if there was anything like that happening.

I just heard a couple of hopes shatter sad.gif

Only special condition you mentioned that could apply is maybe size - Daereth's shadowlord faeling. But this is ridiculous. I have trans Knighthood - I should be able to hit something with my hammers.
Ildaudid2006-07-12 22:11:15
I can see you missing against another player 6 times IS excessive. I just don't understand why we have to miss against mobs. Our WSC are no where near as powerful as a mages WSC so why can't we just hit mobs? But yeah 6 misses in a pvp is really bad. If you had clumsiness or stupidity or something like that afflicted I could understand... but only in pvp. Clumisness and stupidity do not affect a mage when fighting NPC's either so they should not affect a warrior. sad.gif
Murphy2006-07-12 22:58:23
sure you weren't hitting a stance there?

Just for the record, clumsiness does affect mages when hunting. I used to forget to cure it after testing things on myself sometimes, and it would take a lot longer to kill krokani. And stupidity affects everyone whilst bashing.

I'm not saying that warriors should miss against mobs though.
Shamarah2006-07-12 23:10:51
Mage equilibrium is also slowed by confusion.

Slows you all down some right? and makes the hit a little less? But the point being you never missed then either did you?
Shiri2006-07-13 01:11:56
Confusion DOUBLES our equilibrium. In fact I think it doubles all equilibrium but I can't say that for certain.
Sylphas2006-07-13 01:13:08
I wish I had that in hexes. Confused tae'dae ftw!
Unknown2006-07-13 01:17:11
If a Tae'dae is a class that uses equilibrium very much it's screwed from the beginning.

CORRECTION: If it's a Tae'dae, it's screwed from the beginning.

Confused tae'dae: Evoke pentagram!
Me: Invoke nullify. Moonburst, moonburst, moonburst, moonburst.
Confused tae'dae: *tap*
Me: Moonburst, moonburst...

WtF, didn't I tell you to target specific bodyparts instead of using the stupid bashingthing? It's FAR too unrelieable!

OMG he was using swing @target? tongue.gif Yeah umm try it with crush @target lleg, etc. You may not miss so bad either. biggrin.gif
Alger2006-07-13 10:00:10
I thought swings jab and any other warrior attack except certain special ones like raze cleave assault lunge crush etc had the same miss rate...

What mob gives confusion?

Pfh, just wait for me to go Ur'guard, I am going to teach you how to fight. tongue.gif

And how to bash. Man, I could tank two garwights as an Ebonguard, you loser. Wait for the original pirate to switch and drop to your knees in awe!

And something else on misses: Wouldn't it be logical that, if warriors miss, Mages and Guardians should miss too, and far more? I mean, they shoot big balls of energy at the monsters....Speaking from experience, I can evade balls far better than I can avoid hits.

Magical balls. Kind of think of them like Magic Missile of D&D fame. It never missed.
