EDIT: Since no one's read my last post about sticking just to tailoring and artisan, I'm writing it up here so the obvious stuff can end.
Linking of Tailoring and Artisanry: For example, a new pattern for tailors could be bed linens which can be put on a bed and shown in the description. When the bed is probed it would show something like:
A thick, white duvet and matching sheets cover this bed.
All of my ideas link tailoring and artisanry (tablecloths, wardrobe to hold clothes, seat cushions, etc.), but I'm sure there are other possible interactions THAT DO NOT EXIST ALREADY.
Thoughts?

There's plenty of interaction... Tailors need gems (Cut by jewellers) and tints (Made by artists from herbs harvested by herbalists) to make great robes, which are then enchanted (By an enchanter) and/or cured (with potions made by alchemists, sold by artisan kegs, and made from herbs harvested by herbalists). Jewellery is just decorative without enchantments. I think forging is the only tradeskill that doesn't need any others to function.

Transed forgers also like to have their fullplate cursed (by an enchanter), and some patterns require tints, too, among other things. It would be nice to allow armour to be enchanted with stuff like auric fields of protection though... I mean, what's so special about cloth without metal?
ooh, or maybe let the higher-end armours be magnetized! what would it do? um... gather paperclips?

Okay, then how about -just- artisans and tailors. Yes, enchanters and jewellers are deeply involved with every other tradeskill. Tailors, however, aren't as much.

Contrary to popular belief, enchanting great robes doesn't give them protective powers. It only enhances the inherent protective properties of fashion.

Trede skill are depended one from another. Some in less degree then others.
Like:
Poisonist - need gems(Jeweler) for vials (Artist)
Alchemist - need herbs (HERBALIST), powerstones (JEWELER) and in some degree vials (JEWELER and ARTIST) and kegs(ARTISANS), mercury (COOK or FORGER)
Forger - need various commodities, including gems(JEWELER) and tints (HERBALIST and ARTIST)
Tailor - need various commodities, including gems(JEWELER) and tints (HERBALIST and ARTIST) ***EDIT: forgot about potions for proofings, so (ALCHEMIST, HERBALIST and COOK or FORGER for mercury for quicksilver potion)
Cook - need commodities, also some spices and other herbs (HERBALIST) but also sugar (ALCHEMISTS)
Jeweler - sometimes needs titnts (HERBALIST and ARTIST)
Artisan - need various commodities, including tints (HERBALIST and ARTIST) and gems (JEWELER)
Enchanter - need powerstones (JEWELER) and also belts, bags etc.. for dimensionpockets (TAILOR), cubes ( JEWELER), runes for statues (RUNIST), paintings (HERBALIST and ARTIST), Magi Crown (JEWELER)
Artist - herbs for tints (HERBALIST)
Herbalist - INDEPENDENT
Bookbinder - magic ink (ALCHEMISTS and HERBALIST), not sure if they need tints or gems

All robes start off initially at 12/12. This is so low, it doesn't really qualify as "protective" as you are "as protected" naked or close enough to it until said robes are enchanted.

Only foolish persons use designs anymore that require gems and tints. Most forgers use all metal designs because they can forge-forge-forge over and over for very little in the middle cost.

Cooks also require salt (JEWLERS) and can use Cut gems(JEWELER) and tints (ARTISTS) in their recipes that a trademaster can create. Not to mention a variety of Herbs (HERBALIST again)

I did test them once, actually. I tested a series of about 15 robes with various protections to see what sort of difference it made.

Yes, i know, but all metal designs can be dull and boring. I like to throw at least minimal amount of gems to my personal designs. And for some scabbards i use quite nice amount of gems and tints. Scabbards dont need to be reforged.

Okay, I've agreed and cut it down to Artisans and Tailoring with my ideas from the top. What do you think about that...vs. just adding what I missed with the other interactions?
