Turn that durn box off and git outside young'un, else ah'll shoot yer puter!
Tervic2006-04-25 22:32:06
That's kinda scary that a parent would pull a gun like that, even if the kid was being a twit...

But how about the story of the old grandma who took a 12-gague to her Mac classic because the salesperson told her it was "indestructible"?

You know, a 22 year old son, living at home, playing games and not doing the laundry.. sounds like the son was addicted to games, and is accusing his father of trying to kill him so he can settle on some money, and play more games and not have to work... but thats just me, cause I was 22 and living at home once, and...

I'm 20, living at home, and addicted to video games. sad.gif
Everiine2006-04-25 23:52:37
20, living at home during the summer, at school when at school, and mildly addicted to video games... mildly.... somewhat.... moderately.... oh heck, I love 'em!
Dysolis2006-04-26 00:45:23
beat you both ,21 living at home, and yeah, video games.
Daganev2006-04-26 00:47:02
Your still at that age where you can claim your in school...

I'm 25, living at home, and I'm engaged to a girl who is 24 living with her parents... We had lots of fun with the failure to launch movie...

And I can completely understand how a parent can get gun shooting mad at a child who does nothing but play games all day.

In our defense though, houses cost $800,000 around here, and just 4 years ago they cost $500,000.

19, living at... yeah, see the pattern. Aren't we the kings of cool?

18, living with parents, heh. Still at high school and yes, spending a lot of time at the computer.

Although I've forgotten what other games look like... I've never been so addicted to a game like I am to Lusternia.

*prostrates self in awe and respect*

(although I do the laundry when I'm asked to... or maybe a bit later ninja.gif )

Thats a fairly far distance in a room, close range.

The father even said that the gun went off on accident.

whats really curious to me, is if the gun hit the monitor, and the monitor was 3 feet away from the son, then where exactly was the son?

When I was 14 I moved out of my Parents house and lived in an appartment, .. I moved back home after college... I think I'm Merlin, living my life backwards.

"fairly far distance" and "close range"? huh.gif

And it says the gun hit the wall 3 foot away, not the monitor...or is it me confused and not you? wacko.gif

Pinellas Sheriff's deputies say he shot at the monitor as his son sat near-by

He told deputies that although he told his son he was going to shoot the computer, the gun accidentally fired.

The bullet hit the wall about three feet from where the son was sitting.

Yes, while in close range, 3 feet is a far distance. Just like for an ant, 5 feet is a long distance, but for an elephant , 5 miles is a long distance.

If I'm shooting a gun in a room that lets say is 20 feet X 20 feet, missing by 3 feet is almost as if I was facing the wrong direction. The shorter the distance, the less the angle of error will be seen. Its basic Trig.
