I've got a couple of friends who play 80 hrs a week and miss school to play WoW. They act out WoW and speak in WoW terms ie if someone does something stupid they say /golfclap. And these were kids that were seen as cool beforehand. WoW destroyed them.

I played the trial and got bored after 6 days.
Yrael2006-04-27 23:38:34
THats sort of disturbing, Manj.
Murphy:

Uhm. Anyway - 400 corruption is impossible, even with a sacrificed succubus - mine ticked for a bit over 150, curse of agony at it's height would do 220 (amped) and siphon life was sucking down an easy 57 a tick. Shadowbolts did anywhere from 600-800 regular, highest crit was something like 2k before the Curse of Shadows nerf (10% instead of vuln. bonuses). Forgotten immolate, although it was something like 350 dd, 100-something a tick.

...

Enough ranting. I did so love my pimp hat.

And my lifeforce dirk with 30 spelldamage, which was voted as the stupidest object on the server. 400g enchant (+mats) on a level 50 blue item?

Though you need to have a good raiding guild, it can be done - I was jumped by a warlock in BRM that hit me with that much, and I know there's a lock in my guild that can get that (or more? I think with ToEP/ZHO he gets like 600. Crazy.). With just full Nemesis, you can get 350 a tick. This is assuming you have no weapon, cape, necklace, talents, rings, or trinkets. I assure you, it's very, very, possible.

Which hat are you talking about?

And...400G enchant on a BLUE?! That's...just... mellow.gif

Mages have been nerfed into annihilation - you need to burn so many consumables to win any fight if you're not a Grand Marshall/Epicced out/Both it isn't funny.

Well, we do have the Vending Machine buff to make up for the nerfs. Gogo 10 water per cast. dry.gif

And if you really want the .5 set, find 4 guildmates to help you out, because 45-min Baron is a nightmare.
Dysolis2006-04-28 03:56:28
im a night elf

I weas wondering, can you switch servers with out starting over? it looks like you can but Im not entirly sure

edit: I was* , sorry finger slipped
Unknown2006-04-28 05:36:47
You can't switch servers without starting a new character unless Blizzard opens server transfers up on your server. Even then, it's only to the server that they chose. Paid transfers have been asked for, forever, but no ETA on when that service will be provided.

The crimson felt hat, seen in the picture below. And I flat-out don't raid, except for the 10 man instances. So I don't have the gear, but I did well with just blue. And yes, 400g, because I didn't have anything else to put it on.

I quit my guild ages ago because of the drama and the crap when it moved from being a Penny Arcade fanguild to a Penny Arcade raiding guild - I was well known enough on the server anyway that I could get into a raid quickly anyway, and I still talked to guildmates on the regular channels.

Kaileigh2006-05-06 23:22:59
That's where I've been for a while. Several on Zuljin, Kalecgos and a few more scattered around
Rauros2006-05-06 23:47:22
Im on Proudmoore... the laggiest server in the game.
Yrael2006-05-14 09:42:16
I re-activated my account (damn you, Kaileigh) and I'm addicted all over again.

Oh, well, butchering people as a midget purveyor of foulest evil is good fun.

Can't wait for the expansion.

Draenei! I mean, sure - they look like gargoyles from the 80's show instead of the butt-ugly beggar-thingies that were presented in W3 & some areas of WoW (because these ones are apparently tainted by the Fel energies), but I'm far too much fanboyish about the race to care. Plus, they'll have a friggin' space ship as their main city.

And also, no rogues allowed for the race. Rogues = noobs of WoW.
Shorlen2006-05-14 15:16:06
I might get WoW when the expansion comes out, if they sell both together for a reasonable price. Well, probably not, as it is a grind MMORPG, and they are just tempting wastes of time that draw me away from other, more interesting projects sad.gif

Level 54 Night Elf Hunter
Scarlet Crusade RP Server, US.

Cancelled subscription.

For once, RL is more interesting than any computer game.

I must be growing old smile.gif

Aellurion, 38 Feral Druid on Lightninghoof.

Also leveling a holy priest.

It's been sucking me away from IRE. sad.gif
Although if I don't get it running in Linux, I'll be back.

60 Undead Warlock, Darkspear.

Of course Murphy is a rogue, Lol...
Murphy2006-05-24 03:08:51
yep number 1 griefing class....its frustrating when there is a rogue on you and stunning you, and you can sap people anywhere with improved sap and the guards wont get you.

Or you can sap someone for the hell of it, spit on the rub it in, stealth and 100-0 stunlock them
Unknown2006-05-24 03:22:27
Sap is the #1 griefing skill. Of course, WoW is full of leet-kiddies who deserve to be griefed. Not that they lose exp or something upon death.

I remember when my brother's druid got sapped by an orc. He (orc) then proceeded to dance in front of him for 30 seconds, and then Vanished.
Sylphas2006-05-24 04:39:45
Lucky Orc. CC in PVP doesn't usually last nearly as long as it normally would in PVE.

Hmm. Can you trinket out of Sap?
