Hello. I'm interested in developing a combat system in MUSH, using the Lua language, but I'm having trouble grasping the language. Would anyone know of any sites or other information ( aside from the Lua tutorial ) that could be of use to me? Also, is there a Lua-written combat system floating around here anywhere that I might be able to learn from?
Thanks in advance.
P.S. Thought I'd mention I have no prior programming knowledge, though I've scripted in Zmud for over two years now, and would consider myself fairly good at it. If there's a language out there someone thinks would be more suitable for one such as myself, I'm open to suggestion.
Thanks in advance.

I wrote systems for Achaea and Lusternia under MUSHclient using Lua a while back. They had some common scripts shared between them and then plugins specific to each game. The system isn't current with all abilities in the game today as I gave up working on it and went back to my zMUD. However, if you just want to take a look at some of the interesting triggers, plugins, and Lua scripts I developed, let me know and I'll send you the archive. (Warning: no documentation and no support for it from me; it's just an old system to be used as an example of how to do some fun things in MUSHclient.)

Thank you. I'd really appreciate that. If you could, just send it through the email address I provided in my profile. I think I'll learn this all much more quickly if I have a good example to study.
