Fallen, Glomdoring IS tainted. Hajamin and I believe Terentia have both confirmed this at various points.
Yeah, quoting Hajamin, just isn't that convincing.
Isune says its not tainted, Shikari says its not tainted, Viravain says its not tainted.
Auskelis said that Taint no longer exists.
Terentia just said that turning fae into chebus is a bad thing.

Oh, because Gods of the Light who have issue with Viravain are going to just be like "yup, she's cool now." She's still insane, don't get me wrong, but the forest isn't Tainted.

THINGS CAN CHANGE INTO OTHER THINGS AND NOT BE IN THEIR FORMER STATE!! *pant*
However, due to popular opinion, Glomdoring is still tainted. Thank you.
And really, we shouldn't even be talking about this here. Take it IC!! Flood the public news post!
Good, due to popular opinion Celest and Serenwilde are one place.

I think it makes much more sense to listen to the word of the city's two past patrons than the two patrons of Glomdoring, who obviously have their own reasons for not wanting people to view them as tainted.
EDIT: Who cares anyway? Arguing this OOC isn't going to change anything IC.

Alright, sure. They're one place. Does it matter? *exasperated sigh* I give up...

I think I'll just jump into the fun to add that according to Geomancer lore, there is a tiny residual portion off taint in everything which belongs to the Element of Earth, because its archetype, the Earth Plane, is Tainted. So Celest IS tainted. So is Glomdoring.
Edit: For Glomdoring, read Serenwilde. I'm tired... and they're easily confused.

A. What reason is that?
B. Since when is Isune and Auskelis a patron of Glomdoring.
I'm curious what Elcyrion's and Lacostian's view are. As well as Fains and Raezons.
I could be wrong, but I think Estarra even came down when it changed and commenting on the fact.

Shikari and Viravain are both of Glom, so I'd have a tough time believing them. Especially when Viravain took that stance even when it was tainted.
Isune has always had weird opinions of taint. I'd have a tough time believing her thoughts of it too.
Auskelis is obviously quite wrong, because of Magnagora's continued existance.
And Hajamin was rather fanatical, and would probably have eventually argued Serenwilde was tainted.
All this leads me to believe that IC divine comments shouldn't really hold much weight, due to most of them saying what is needed in order to further their own means.

This is quite true. However, it is in the roleplay of most peoples' characters to listen to a particular Divine and take their word above that of others.

Auskelis is by no means wrong.
Both Shikari and Auskelis, as far as I know, make a large distinction between that which Kethuru does i.e Taint, and that which Magnagora uses.. i.e. taint.
Only Kethuru can make something Tainted or not.
ferlas2006-04-30 21:41:28
Ooc it isnt tainted.
IC some Gods say its tainted, some gods say it isnt.
You can argue either way that its tainted or that it isnt.
Yea really take these arguments in game, this is a purely roleplay thingy, so shoo shoo

That's the thing though.. my issue is with people OOCly saying Glomdoring is Tainted.
IC, I couldn't give a rat's ass if Celest hates Glomdoring.
OOCly, by the arguments used, Celest is Tainted because it converts Tainted essence and creatures into their own. If Taint transformed into Wyrd is still Taint... then isn't Taint transformed into Light still Taint as well?

I am continually amazed that the real life players of lusternia seem unable to grasp the subtlety that the game has made and the lore in regards to what is taint, and what isn't and how all the aspects of the basin interact.
I'm pretty sure there are still some people who can not understand the difference between a soulless god and kethuru.

No. This isn't an IC argument. I cannot have this discussion ICly. Not everything related to the game needs to be "taken IC" the argument is not about Celest's character's changing their view, its about Celest's players admitting that they're characters are full of

I don't think any of the Divine have ever actually stated OOCly whether Glom is or is not tainted. I think it's just one of those things about the game that we're left to decide for ourselves.
So take it IC, you morons!
