Just curious to see which class/guild you would be if you played Imperian. Of all the games, I think that Imperian has the most classes, dunno. I'll check but eh. You don't have to reply, and please don't flame me for just being curious.
I'll list the class, for those who don't play, by anti-magick, dark magick, and light magick.
Anti-Magick(more or less your warrior classes) classes:
Idras-assassins, they use sitaras as their main weapon. Very Anti-Magick, and very strick class. They are very militaryish about respect and that sort. Skills:Predation, Knifeplay, Toxins
Justicars-they are the warriors of Antioch, and protectors. They can bloodbond or somesuch with a Cleric, and Justicars, once just simply lawkeepers, now religous guardians. Skills:Chivalry, Devotion, Smithing.
Wardancers-A combination of deadly attack and beautiful movement, wardancers a vicious fighters. They are also the protectors of Antioch. Skills: Bladedance, Shielddance and Wardance.
Wardens-the vagabonds, the wayward knights, the travelers of the road. Wardens are fighters of their own and hold no ties to the divine. They tread their own paths and do everything by their sweat and blood. Skills: Trailblazing, Warding, and Bowmanship. (There was a sister guild, as Wardens is Male only, know as Ilaferi, but it was disbanded due to lack of membership.)
Taekyon-monks who are of no direct citizenship but they often times fight along side Antioch. Skills: Taekate, Kaido, and Telepathy.
Clerics-Users of fayth, they call upon the gods to smite others. They summon seraphs to fight along side of them, and can heal afflictions. Skills: Fayth, Devotion, and Healing.
Arboreals- Druids and protectors of the forest, they can bond with the land and bond with spirits of animals. Skills: Bonding, Concoctions, and Groves
Hunters-they are the rangers of the forests and help protect them along side the arboreals. Hunters are more of fighters, while Arboreals are scholarly. Skills: Bonding, Concoctions, and Hunting.
Light Magick
Mages-Straight up mages, they use vibes to do damage, summon allies and use the elements to aid them. Skills: Crystalism, Elemancy, and Alchemy.
Bards-Bards use their voice to inthrall others, to heal, and to cast protections. They also use their skills to perform and they can create sketchs to fling at others and cause afflictions. Skills: Artistry, Voice, Thespia.
Lorekeepers-The knights of Good! They use their abilities to protect the city of Kinsarmar. Mages and Lorekeepers have a clan that brings them closer together. They are able to use runes to buff up armour, themselves, and make totems to protect against others. Skills: Chivalry, Smithing, Runelore.
Wytchen-shamans, basically. They use dolls to control others, to travel to them, and to protect(I believe). They use Runes to buff up and they can curse others for afflictions(pretty good for hunting). This class should be nerfed! (Said by many) Simply because they have Vodun Shake, not sure what that does, sorry. I think that Vodun is a skill that needs to be nerfed because if you trans Vodun, then you get to Obliterate, which is an instant kill attack. If you have a doll of someone you do this if transed Vodun. Skills: Curses, Vodun, Runelore.
Dark Magick
Noctusari-demoners, but in a way, lesser demoners. Noctusari are more along the scholary path but I'm not too sure. They bring fourth demons to fight along side of them. Skills: Tarot, Enslavery, and Noctu.
Malignists-Demoners, they work with an area known as "the Pit" which is very evil, from what I got. They're just plain evil. The novice intro thinggy is pretty damn cruel. You get to torture this priestess. They tried to draw Sukhder, Moon of Terror, closer, but that want "BANG!" in their faces. Very dark class. Skills: Evileye(like curses), Necromancy, and Malignosis.
Diavlous-They're the fighters of dark magicks, a.k.a Stavenn. Skills: Brutality, Smithing, and Necromany. (Murphy's class more or less if he played Imperian.)
Saboteurs- the assassins. They aren't really "dark" or "light" magick, but I'll put 'em under dark since they can be sorta dark. They use whips and dirks for striking foes. Puncture(needs a toxin) and Garrote are two of the earliest methods for hunting. Skills: Hypnosis, Sabotage, and Toxins.
The cities/councils: Kinsarmar("good magick city"), Stavenn (darkkies city), Antioch(crazy zealous people city), Ithaqua (bad ass council), Khandava(Magick lovers council), and Celidon (the council, or demon-lovers as some would say.)
Kinsarmar has Mages, LK, and Bards for their guilds.
Stavenn: Malignists, Noctusari, and Diavlous.
Antioch: Justicars, WarDancers, and Clerics. Taekyon and Idras can swing this way too.
Ithaqua: Idras, Wardens, and Taekyon.
Khandava: Arboreals more or less
Celidon: Hunters.
Wytchen have no citizenship, they can be apart of any city/council, except Antioch because they're fruitcakes and are anti-magick. Sabs also have no citizenship, and you can't be apart of a city/council until a certain GR. Idrasi you can't join Antioch without permisson of the GM and Ithaqua you have to get off probation, I believe.
This isn't all too great for describing the classes, I only know a few. I've played in the Idras, Sabs, Arbs, Hunters, Mages, Bards, Mags(For a short time), Noctu(short time), Wytchen and Clerics.
If you want to learn more, Imperian's site is a good place to look at the descriptions. Idras don't have anything on the site.

Sarrasri2006-05-05 02:55:51
I made a character on Imperian. She was a wytchen maumrite.
Shiri2006-05-05 02:58:20
I made one too, he was a wytchen muamrite.
Unknown2006-05-05 02:58:41
Of all the classes, I think that Wytchen is the best to bash with. Were you still a novice or did you manage to graduate?
Sarrasri2006-05-05 03:03:05
I managed to graduate from being a diak but I didn't get any further after disci prae. They have lots of requirements.
Shiri2006-05-05 03:15:27
The bashing was great. But I just kind of got to post-novicehood and couldn't be arsed with the huge amount of reading/writing/other hoops they wanted me to go through. Lusternia's enough of a job as is without alts (which are supposed to be for relaxation) making it worse.
Unknown2006-05-05 03:23:17
Yeah...the Disci Prae had a lot of requirments. Which GM did you two have? I had...erm...Lilith, then Ashlynde, and then ...Tsginhala or how ever he spelt his name and then like someone and then Kallima took over after I left.
Unknown2006-05-05 03:25:10
Oooh.. Wardancer or Idra definitely. I started off as a Wardancer when Imperian first came out, but I didn't stick around very long. The world was really odd compared to Aetolia and Achaea (Mostly because I had to learn may way around again and the cities were tiiiiny to me. ), but if I could go back with credits I think I'd do those two.
Clerics if I wanted to beat up someone though since I'm familiar with the whole Priesty skills and fighting.

Shiri2006-05-05 03:32:48
I don't remember who I had, but it was only a month or so ago. *pokes Sarrasri*
Unknown2006-05-05 03:40:44
probably Kallima or Kamaylie.
Shiri2006-05-05 03:42:33
Kamaylie sounds familiar.
Daganev2006-05-05 04:28:04
I had a hunter in Imperian, what was his name? Oh yeah! Daganev...
Turns out I'm on the website, started the Virs family and all.. eventually he became a Warden and follows Cassiopeia.

Sarrasri2006-05-05 04:42:30
The GM was Kamaylie.
The disci prae req's were horrible. Too much stuff to make it fun unless you liked to write/read a bunch of stuffs.
I also think one of their novice aides had it in for me. She made my diak interview thingy harder than it was supposed to be and asked me stuff that was required of disci prae.

Murphy2006-05-05 04:45:16
The murph would be an idra for sure. Some of the skills people have told me about, right down my alley.
Unknown2006-05-06 02:12:07
Hmm, you might make a good Idrasi, Murphy. I still see you as a Diavlous, the whole necromaner thinng and the brutality and stuff. And, Diavlous are kind of more open PK. Idrasi are pretty strick about following the rules for that sorta thing.
The Disci Prae thing sorta crashed and burned after Ashlynde, Tsing, and Xannus(I think) left from being GMs. When I was a disci prae what we had to to was for studios you had to help a novice aid or become one and work with the novices, and say what could be changed. Malovi or however its spelt, you fought 3 spars, 2 wytchen 1 non, and then the last one you did a ritual of banishment on ze wytchhunter. Pretty easy actually, I just happened to be very lazy.

Heh. When I was a disci prae you had to decide which sect you're going into, write a background on yourself, banish the wytchhunter, umm, I think you had to write a book at some point too.
Unknown2006-05-06 02:47:41
*nostalgia* Think I'll visit Imperian again, the guilds there are fun
Unknown2006-05-06 16:09:34
Yeah...I think I'll create an evil character FOR ONCE, and keep it safe and sound in Imperian. I've always played Light characters - I wonder what it's like to play a Dark one...
Unknown2006-05-06 16:43:55
Go Mags! Join Stavenn! Kill and Torture a poor Priestess!! *cough*
