No, that would be -awful-. I use the cubix all the time to travel with friends on hunting trips to Astral, and there is nothing in the cubix description that says it is not for a group following.
Downgrades just for the sake of it are silly, a change needs to address some sort of concern in cubix use.

I always thought some delay time like teleport, maybe not as much but atleast so we have a chance of selecting a mind affliction to interrupt it.

I dont mind the idea of it losing your group as long as you are able to teserect to the fulcrux.
Also if you did lose your group nothing should stop cubix at all then nothing at all not even the mental afflictions that already stop it.
