What Should Shamrock Do?

Extreme diametric opposites are the same, you know. Ever play through the Warcraft 3 campaign? You should do what the main character there did biggrin.gif Fight for the Light so intensely that you end up trying to destroy Celest to save them, and fall to the Taint that way.
Ashteru2006-05-13 18:26:19
Some people never get protector though. sad.gif

Sure, just point me to the nearest Frostmourne! (That's what the sword was called, right?)

Yep, but the sword so wasn't needed for him to become fully corrupted - he was long before that point tongue.gif

As much as the geos might be good, no one could beat Glomdoring for a good conversion ritual.

EDIT: And you can get Protector pretty easy in the Ebonguard, if you really want it. Don't know about the other guilds.

Stay and make amends.
Vix2006-05-13 21:34:06
You probably ought to stay. You've spent quite a bit of time and effort in Celest and would be a shame to leave it. Weren't you Prince at one point?
Unknown2006-05-13 22:03:32
Ahhhh don't leave (for another org)! It will totally make all your recent actions pointless and clashes against your goals, or what your goals seem to appear like anyway. Go play Guild Wars or something and we'll tell you when something cool happens and you can come back. Don't go to the dark side, their cookies are stale!

So I put up this poll to see what I ought to do with him. You'll notice that there are no choices labeled "stop the anti-Seren RP" or "go to Serenwilde". That is intentional.

I agree. You could always stop the law-breaking part of the anti-seren rp. mellow.gif Talk to the Supernals, decide the fae can be converted later.
Ixion2006-05-13 22:11:19
I voted Magnagora because I believe you'd fit in rather nicely there.

Any personal bias aside, if getting power is a big deal to you, Celest (from the ban) and Glomdoring are out of the question. By your own choice, you don't want to join serenwilde either, so the only choice left is Magnagora (rogue isn't an option on many levels, for Shamarah).

Edit:
Actually you could join Glomdoring, though you'd have to make some Magnagoran friends who would provide you with frequent hunting trips to astral to get power from the nodes.
Shamarah2006-05-13 22:15:32
If I really wanted to, I could stay in Celest and get power from Astral.

The "if I really wanted to" is the important part there though.

Oh, I so loved that story! My bardic entry's inspired from it and the main character in it is sort of Sham-like. biggrin.gif

Oh, and don't leaaaaaave! Just stay and debate us 'till the end of the five years. tongue.gif

That's getting boring and frusturating, especially since the only person who agrees with me is Amaru.

Then do what Acrune said:

QUOTE

Anti-seren rp is more common in the city than it seems.
Unknown2006-05-13 22:23:35
Is 5 years really that long of a wait? You could try to do other things besides Lusternia and come back, maybe things will change, or not, who knows. And if you -do- leave for the taint, what will your new objectives be? How are you going to play Shamarah? Are you going to start raiding Celest? And lastly, WHO'S GOING TO REPLACE YOU!?!? crying.gif But honestly, from an OOC perspective don't let anyone keep you from getting the most fun out of this game. You can use this poll for some ideas, but really make your own decision.
Revan2006-05-13 22:26:42
It's hard to be anti-seren when Catarin's character is all about beinding over backwards for Serenwilde, and also when Narsrim is a part of Terentia's order, thus politically melding Serenwilde and Celest. If Shamarah keeps going like he is, Narsrim complains, terentia lays the Shamarah smackdown. It doesn't work out. There needs to be DRASTIC change in Celest if it's going to be solitary and anti-seren.

With that said, Shammy, join mag. If you're a big fighter, we're usually lax on power laws, plus we raid often, so you'd be having FUN! Glom may haveits perks, but I do not think Shayle and Xenthos getting on your ass 24/7 about "omg don't RAID!!! You'll draw attention to us! NOTHING MATTERS BLAH BLAH" will be fun for you *shrug* Just my 2gp
Unknown2006-05-13 22:27:59
Why should he have to do something else because Celest has its head up its ass? He obviously wants to play. He shouldn't have to stop just because your city has absolutely zero spine.

There are others...we just can't afford to get on the bad side of people just yet.

I voted the first, mainly because I want you in Celest and it's quite interresting to see the conflict witht he star council. It's a pitty powermask doesn't hide who brings fae to the supernals (if you do leave, you should first reveal to Raziela the ban of bringing her fae, just for the sake of I want to see what will happen then ninja.gif )
Valarien2006-05-13 22:35:55
I'm not going to vote either way, but decided to comment just a bit on this power argument.

15% a day would be harsh, if that was ALL YOU WERE ALLOWED. However, there are a ton (Repeat, TON) of methods in which you can draw additional power every month, regardless of whether or not you make protector. Seriously, just go hunt the stupid earth plane for all of twenty minutes and draw more. Collect shadows, draw more. Go to fxcking Astral, it's not hard. When we have nice, sand-ified aspects, things become that much easier.

Glomdoring's power laws aren't strict people, they just help ensure that we always have a GROWING power supply, as opposed to a diminishing one.

In summation, our power laws are only strict if you're a lazy, non-productive bastard. smile.gif

EDIT : Oh yeah, did I mention gathering fae? Gathering fae gets you more power, too
