That's just stupid. The only thing you don't have is a rezz skill. Glomdoring's skills are fine on all other levels. And if they're not, that's something you should have taken up with your envoys, no?
Glomdoring fighters get fed up with the xp loss and leave. This has been a continuous cycle since the beginning. Also, a lot of fighters thought they should be treated like Gods in Glomdoring, because they could "save" them. The commune didn't develop like that, and fighters just don't stick around. So, because of the lack of fighters, Glomdoring being aggressive does more harm than good.
Glom raid a single Seren Village.
Narsrim&Co, in turn, will spend 10 hours pinning people down in Glomdoring because "they brought it on themselves".
Without a fighter population, they just can't afford to let their fighters fight. That's the sad truth of it, and its an attitude created by the constant raids Glomdoring has suffered since its inception.

Then you should be trying to get fighters. Not letting people fight because you're afraid of getting hit back leads to an endless downward spiral.
ferlas2006-05-15 22:56:51
Well we didnt have any fighters before really so it was exceptionally easy to get times when glomdoring was totally defenceless but now we do have a few so the time when glomdoring is totally defenceless is a bit shorter during the day.

Why attack once when odds are your going to lose a weak worth of bashing to gain nothing?
Glomdoring skills are mostly defensive and are great for when your getting attacked. Not so great for attacking others.

The res skill is a a big big problem but if you can cope with massive exp loss if you fight on prime then its ok and your a pretty low level anyway so no problem for you really.

If you can come to Glom and play the somewhat mad wyrd-spreading druid to the hilt, I'll back you the whole way. As will several others.

bleh, if you really want to know, there is a whole other thread on the subject... but I think credit wise, Shamarah should stay in a city.

So.. rather than letting the people in Glomdoring be somewhat happy, they should pick fights they can't win, to attract more fighters (somehow) which brings down a super storm, and makes all the non-fighters absolutely miserable.
Them killing 2 or 3 denizens in a village is not worth them getting gangraped by Narsrim&Co. It really really isn't.

I'm not saying you should pick fights you can't win. I'm saying when you DO have a chance to strike back and you have a fight you CAN win, you should take it.

Ok.. so.. Narsrim&Co raid for 2 hours.
Glomdoring gets a few fighters on when he isn't around. They raid a village, kill a couple denizens before Serenwilde chases them off with the help of Celestians.
Narsrim, in turn, raids for 10 hours, because Glomdoring "asked for it"
I really woudn't call the fight in the village a victory, even if you came out of it killing denizens and not losing any raiders, simply because Narsrim&Co will take it out on all the non-fighters later. Striking back isn't effective when the backlash to your backlash is 10x as painful.
Edit: Example is the Japanese bomb Pearl Harbor as their "chance to strike back and win a fight." In turn, we nuked them. Twice. Not very effective.
Or, Terrorists blowup the WTC as their "Chance to strike back and win a fight." In turn, we occupy their country and obliterate a few cells from the face of the planet. Again, not very effective on their part.

As screwy as it does sound fallen is correct, glom used to get raided constantly at the low hours and as fallen said all the non pk people just got screwed over because there was no one around to defend.
Now we actually have a couple of fighters we dont get raided so much.
