Small RP elements

Do you have anything in your character's RP that is so small and so insignificant that no one would notice, yet you consider it something essential to the RP? Something tiny that makes your character very complex, but you can't show off IC?

For example, Tzekelkan never says 'aye'. He considers it too vulgar. He is always 'yes' or 'indeed'.

Kahazul's conflicted quasi-dual personalities.

You'd think it would be a more central element, but it's more of a fun quirk. I may develop it more later.

Veyda's addicted to sparkleberry.

This is incredibly minor. I doubt anyone will ever notice, save -maybe- Ashteru. But it's entertaining.
Richter2006-05-12 23:12:51
Richter's possessed by Draest Carthan, has been the whole game. Though you can only tell when he flips out, starts screaming and killing things (the most recent time being about a month ago with Xavius trying to kill me in Deepnight).

It's an integral part of my character, a huge part, but it doesn't show up a lot, it'd get boring and overplayed. Someday, Richter'll kick Draest's ass.
Vix2006-05-12 23:14:10
Vix can't say conglutinate. It's always congluty-whatsit.
Lanko2006-05-12 23:15:38
lanko never gets mad. Ever. When he gets slaughtered repeatedly, he's calm and collected. To him, it's all part of life. It might be pretty noticeable if you looked for it, but otherwise something that most people won't recognize I think

Ash is used to people eating lots of sparkles, so....he might notice when Veydas hands start to shake and he starts to drool, but until then...tongue.gif

Hmm.....well, Ash has two angermodes. His obnoxious anger mode, where everybody notices when he is angry, and the anger mode when he still smiles and is nice and pretending to be listening and all.
Well, it's some part of his concept, because when he is in the silent anger mode, he is shortly before cracking. And when he cracks, he always does things that completely change his lifestyle. Like last time, he became Ebonguard. Or he left Seren and joined Mag.

Excellent! Excellent! I'm fascinated by all of this.

Also, this is a new RP element I'm trying to implement: Tzek is very very very protective of his friends. Never insult his friends/wife/guildmembers/mother or he will get mad, or at least defend them in some way.

Isn't that an aspect of most people's personalities?

I'd actually like to see a character who is more concered about his friends insulting his enemies than his enemies insulting his friends. That would be interesting.
Lisaera2006-05-12 23:29:34
Lisaera doesn't move. If She wants to be in a different place She desynchronises from the movement of reality in general until She is where She wants to be, and then synchronises again.

You can actually tell if you watch careful whenever She's doing a lot of movement. wink.gif

I've yet to truely develop any of these traits but yeah:
-Lowe loves his alchohol.
-He is rather arrogant and doesn't believe that laws for the masses don;t apply to him, e.g power drawing rules ninja.gif
-Rather different around women that he likes.
Richter2006-05-12 23:54:04
On a side note, not necessarily about me, but now that Deepnight is technically a ship, the alglontherine entity within it is named Steve.

I eat my nails.
Valarien2006-05-13 00:00:52
Val's views of death and rebirth are twisted to the point where he secretly has a desire to die... constantly. ninja.gif He'll make comments about not wanting to die a futile or meaningless death at times (Like when people mention aetherships ), but every time he dies he feels as though he's grown somehow. "Transcendence"

Some people probably noticed this, like when he went off about death after losing to Dia in an FFA... Or, when fighting, people may notice that he laughs and smiles a lot when he's being killed >.>

Did I mention a slight masochism thing?

-loves- being Nightkissed

oo, this is my favourite so far
Verithrax2006-05-13 00:05:52
Verithrax doesn't bow. Ever. He kneels when he has to (To swear oaths, take part in rituals, or whatever) and in the presence of gods he really likes or wants to get brownie points with, and even so, he doesn't like it. He thinks it's undignified.

Verithrax hates walking, ironically. He teleports, transverses, and portals as much as he can to avoid useless walking, even if it's slower.

Verithrax works on four modes: Sweet, nice, good, and bad. Sweet is for women he really likes. Only two people got to see that. Nice is for women in general and people he really likes. Good is most people, and is only good in comparison to Bad, since he's usually curt and arrogant or verbose and holier-than-thou. Bad is Verithrax when his plans fail and come crashing down.

Also, i just noticed I reached 1000 posts. Woot.
Karrack2006-05-13 00:18:43
karrack often pats hit hammers or bottles (bottles may get more affection when karrack is drunk) he also trys not to use any big words so he wont hurt his small brain
Narses2006-05-13 00:28:47
Reyn is a bundle of things really... arrogant to some extent. He tends to take everything into account before acting, the furthest from impulsive you can get. He can switch from a humorous and light-headed approach to judge dread in an instant...

He is honorable enough, treats young ones from all factions reasonably, all in order to make them think better of Magnagora... in the hopes that they see the error of their current ways and convert.

cheers.
I think

To be honest, the stories I've heard about you say the opposite. That you're rash and don't think much outside of "You're not Magnagoran, so I'll treat you like dirt."

This might not be true, but apparently you aren't coming off how you intend, and definitely not having the intended 'wow, <3 Mag' result. tongue.gif
Narses2006-05-13 01:19:11
I actualy thought about defending him but... why bother. Heck, there are two options, I don't convey myself right or you making a judgement based only on things -you- heard or experienced. As long as you're from an opposing faction... I don't think you should be served honey on a silver platter. Alodia for instance took the liberty of teaming with Turgeis on him while he was hunting. He killed Turgeis and let her go... even though she attacked.

All in all, feel free to hate him...your right to do so...

But since this is an ooc forum, I think you could use a -slightly- less offensive tone. Just a thought.
