Currently, figurines are not used by many people. There's skills for almost all tradeskills for them, and you can make a figurine from any animal or person. You pit them together in the area, can level them up, and it's a great, fun system.

Unfortunately, not many people use it, and it's going to be one of those obscure systems that people don't use often, like chess. Except, it'll be worse, since it costs about 4000 gold for the comms and three people to make one.

So. Since I don't have an envoy, nor do I really know any, I think the jewelry skill to create powerstones needs to be lowered to one powerstone. The percentage of power needed to enchant a figurine needs to be cut in half. Figurines are not only expensive, the powerstones are hard to find, and they cost a fair bit of power, I'm told about 8% per.

If the comms and power cost were cut, I think people would use this system more often. If not, I don't see many people ever using it again.

It's probably also because there isn't much incentive to playing with figurines besides bragging rights. And jewelers need to find more powerstones. angry.gif

ingame bets? It would be like gambling only you have a little influence on it!

It pretty much has the same cycle as all new things, new so everyone wants it, then it's old and only few people do it untill someone hypes it again (just like aetherships)
